Is Kessler being talked about because we are all genuinely interested in Kessler or are we scrutinizing his worth as a fighter because he appears to be Calzaghe's BIGGEST win? You know, Kessler NEEDS to be THAT good otherwise Calzaghe's only big win is over an over-the-hill Hopkins - a split decision win where he was decked in round 1.
Why all these talk about Kessler?

You mighta nailed it homey. Kessler is a very talented fighter, but not as good as some make him out to be. People who like Joe C say what they gotta say to make him look great cuz that in turn makes Joe look great. Too bad he let AA take out Miranda instead of doin it himself. -
Kessler was the guy to take out Calzaghe. Everybody said so, I'm betting even you were thinking that yourself. One of the things Manny Steward said during that fight I completely agreed with. To paraphrase, "Kessler is doing nothing wrong, he's fighting a perfect fight, Calzaghe is just too good". He went on to say that there wasn't anyone that could beat Calzaghe, not right now. I still agree. Kessler, in my opinion, is near perfect, technically. He also has great handspeed, power, and is always in perfect condition when fight night rolls around. You mighta nailed it homey. I don't get why he's suddenly turned into a bum.
Here's something else I don't really get: If Pavlik, and all his fans (of which I'm one) think he can beat Zaggs so easily, why didn't they try to make a fight with Kessler and dominate in the same fashion? It would've been a perfect way to prove he's as capable as Calzaghe. Why mouth back and forth making bull**** claims about who's ducking who?
Well, here's what I think: Pavlik's camp wants no part of Kessler. He'd be the toughest fight he's had to date, and at this point in his career he doesn't need a risk like that. I'd pick Kessler over anyone on Pavlik's resume, decisively, and against Pavlik himself, I think it'd be a coin toss...whoever got to the other first, in my opinion, and with Kessler's handspeed, accuracy, and power, I think its completely possible that Pavlik would suffer his first KO loss.....And Pavlik's power, durability, and willpower, it's equally possible Kessler would end up with the same first time KO loss.
It would also be a candidate for fight of the year.Comment

We have at least 2 posters here from DENMARK.
They are homers but the funny thing is, one of them (Bat) likes Jermain Taylor more than Kessler, at least he thinks Taylor would beat him.
Kessler is a good fighter, he's 40-1 with 30 ko's and some good victories and he's a player in the division.
Why not talk about him?Comment
