KostyaTszyu44 I think it is silly to think that MMA won't survive in the future. They have their niche in the sporting world. I am not a fan of MMA by any means but I understand that there is a real draw to combat sports. Most of their fans are coming by the way of the wwf/wwe route. They were wrestling fans growing up and UFC in particular has caught them once they become older and made the fans of real combat sports. It is great but no matter what, both boxing and MMA are forever going to be niche sports unless they become a part of the national tv which is very unlikely.

i dont watch UFC but i saw a tutorial of chuck liddell showing how to throw a right hand if you could call it that...just a loopy haymaker

i knew and stated that he would get KTFO eventually if he kept throwing that punch

and in the sig, there he goes with that ****** loopy right and he gets clocked in mid swing and is officially knocked the **** out

im pretty sure thats what would happen if those mma guys with ****ty swings got into the ring with a boxer or even the street octagon whatever

its the guys with good wrestling skills that would give the boxers problems, then its basically a 50/50 if a boxer can land first or a wrestler can take him down first...

(bit off topic i know) even though i just did it we should probably stop comparing them, they are different sports but i guess they are both fighting and thats what fascinates people

i think mma will start to develop the problems boxing has.....fighters getting greedy and pissed about money, dodgy promotions, greedy promoters etc but unlike boxing it wont survive through those issues because it doesnt have a strong foundation and tradition...its just taken off without building up like boxing did all those centuries ago
only a fool would take a striking class from chuck liddell lol

I saw that video the guy sucks all he does is telegraph his punches, the best thing about chuck is his Sprawl, and his spacing thats it! he can keep his distance...but lately he has been over agressive thats why he has been getting knocked around.

if he went back to his counter punching and backing up to let the guy come in he would still be pretty dominate against grapplers again and half assed strikers.

The overhand is more used to misdirect. Make the opponent raise their hands to make shooting more possible. The most damage it could do is stun an opponent for a little bit. That's why it's more favored by grapplers. Look for matches with Hermes Franca, Dan Henderson and Cain Velesquez to see a more effective version.

Oh! The punch in my sig was an attempt at an uppercut. Liddell is more of a counter puncher and he usually paws his opponents to make them go offensive. If that doesn't work, he goes for uppercuts. What Rashad did in the first round was not answer any of his shots, thus fustrating Chuck, making him telegraph.

Don't use Chuck to represent the striking aspect of MMA. He's middling at best. Guys from Jackson's, A. Silva and Big Nog are the highest one can be in terms of striking.

MMA won't go away because American martial arts won't let it. There are many fighters who have no way or outlet to be able to live off their abilities. And with colleges using Title IX to kill wrestling programs to put more money into football, MMA is needed more then ever to keep wrestling afloat and help keep it reputable.

With that being said, I wish MMA would take their new found fame and use it to promote grappling clubs with in the inner cities. There's bound to be wells of untapped potential. It will also be positive to look more colorful and chase away the racist ****s whose attached themselves to the sport.
