wlad got caught, thats all there is to it, sometimes you just get ****ing caught, and IMO the easiest rounds to get "caught" in are rounds 1 and 2. unless you are as big and athletic as klitschko, you arent going to outbox him. like him or not he is a ****ing brilliant boxer, if you want to beat wlad, the only way to go is KO, and you better do it quick or hes gonna do it to you.
wlad also made it pretty easy for sanders to counterpunch that night. he was loading up on right hands instead of putting it right behind the jab like he normally does. seemed like he was expecting an early and quick knockout that night. he now mostly just jabs until the openings show up then goes for the kill making it much harder for guys to counterpunch

Bout the only thing this russie is gonna knock off is a bottle of vodka, but he needs help to open it. Great at backing out of real challenges after being hospitalized for rope burns on his back against Valuev though.

This is his prime, after all, so he's bound to be at his best at something.

It's the process of getting inside that will be a huge problem for Povetkin, Wlad had the height and reach advantages, if he gets that jab going in the first couple of rounds, preventing Povetkin on getting on the inside, Povetkin will be in trouble because once Wlad establishes the jab, the right hand will follow and Povetkin is open to right hands.
