    Povetkin's chance against Wlad

If Povetkin throws the 60-70 punches a round he's been doing lately and refuses to let Wlad tie up on the inside and hits him with the short hooks and uppercuts that he is pretty good at, he may have a chance against Wlad.

I was thinking that Wlad hasn't seen much volume in forever and if Povetkin doesn't get too discouraged by the jab, he may have the chance to make this an interesting fight.

If he makes Wlad fight on the inside.....if....

Wlad has crazy hugging skills and if the fight gets made by his promoter, he will make damn sure he gets a referee who seperates immediately one the first sight of holding.

Povetkin is going to have to eat some punches. "Discouraged" by the jab? He can't punch over it like Thompson did. If he eats the job he likely loses very badly. He can't walk through it.

He's going to get hit by it, but he can duck under it and slip in like Sanders did.
And Povetkin doesn't need much room to get off. He's not going to punch over it, he will get hit by it but if he keeps coming he can possibly make Wlad fight on the inside or at least rock him pretty good.

Wlad loves those smaller guys who have to get inside that jab.

That said out of all the potential Wlad opponents, I think Chagaev would knock Wlad out because he is deceptively quick, super tough a southpaw and brilliant counterpuncher, he'd Sanders him again. They'll never match Wlad with Chagaev.

They'll never match Chagaev with Skelton again either. If there was ever a fight that he didn't shine in, it was that one.

Chagaev seems to have caught the injury bug. Makes you wonder if he's going to spend his prime hurt.

Povetkin has a shot at winning. Just not nearly as good as if he had waited another year or two.

They must never have seen Skelton fight before they picked him, he just mauls, holds and sweats all over opponents until they give in.

He actually came with a very good gameplan, he gave chagaev no space to rip in hooks or get any leverage on any of his shots. Wlad wouldn't do that, he's actually a boxer, he'd try and establish a jab and get his lights turned out. Skelton is ****.
