The Pavlik that fought Taylor the first time would be KO'd by Kessler.

Pavlik looked to have made improvements in the Lockett fight, but it's hard to measure because Lockett isn't a world class opponent.

That's not really the same as what I said, is it?

Why don't you add something sensible, tell us how you think Pavlik would do against Calzaghe's previous opoonents.

He beats Eubanks Corpse. Hopkins I can't say, I suppose we'll find out real soon.
Kessler is 50-50. Kessler is real good but again hasn't proven it against anybody either. Interesting style matchup.
He beats Byron Mitchell who was barely holding on to that title when Calzaghe beat him (aka ready to be taken out).

So at the worst I have him going 2-2. And again it depends on how much hopkins has faded. He had already faded pretty bad right before the Calzaghe fight but we'll see.

Who has Mikkel Kessler beaten that makes him better than Kelly Pavlik? Just curious.

Unless your fight predictions are always based upon who has beaten the best opposition, I don't understand your objection.

My fight predictions are predicated on that - yes. I'll add other things such as age, weight, etc.

Those last two really don't apply here IMO as Pavlik is a young, huge middle who will be fighting at LHW in his next fight.

So unless you have an objection to MY objection, I don't understand your post.

What I'm saying is that the guy with a great win on his record doesn't always beat the guy without any great wins.

I look at Pavlik and I see certain strengths and certain weaknesses. I look at Kessler and see certain strengths, certain weaknesses.

My fight prediction is based upon how those things match up.
