Thompson wants the fight, but Haye knows he might lose. So he's after an easier opponent like clubfighter JD Chapman or 47 year old Ray Mercer.

In my opinion, and I usually pick them right, Thompson would defeat Haye.

Thompson has excellent defensive skills, Haye wouldn't be able to hurt him. He has a good jab and is a good body puncher who wears down his opponents. He has decent power too...

Thompson has a good D but the problem is Haye would take adavantage of that high gloves type defence that Thompson has he would rattle of punches and keep Thompson playing D whilst winning rounds

Haye is not going to struggle with that kind of oponent regardless how poor a HW he turns out to be
