Among people who have followed boxing for decades, Calzaghe is the favourite. Among NSB posters, many of whom have been watching boxing since last week, that isn't the case.

Your post may (or may not) explain why the people on this forum are picking Roy, but that doesn't make the reasons valid. factual, or connected to reality in any noticeable way.

I think Roy can make it a little competitive in the beginning. I also think Roy withstands Joes arsneal, But at the end Roy will lose by a wide margin. The time is for Calzaghe.

Is it possible that Jones beats Calzaghe? Of course. I'm not sure if that's relevant to my point, but if it needs to be said, no offence to anyone picking Jones.

As for your reasons being factual, look at this example:

Wlad was KO'd by Ross Purity, and Hasim Rahman is a better fighter than Ross Purity.

That is completely factual, isn't it? But to those who actually know how good the fighters involved are, those 'facts' aren't worth that much.

Your point is a list of criticisms of Calzaghe.

My point is: that reasoning isn't particularly strong, and is basically a mixture of selective facts, wishful thinking, and irrelevance.

In the opinion of this board, most of whom aren't particularly intelligent or knowledgeable, Jones will win. In the opinion of those with a lot of experience and knowledge, Calzaghe will win. There are intelligent people picking Jones and ****** people picking Calzaghe, but generally speaking, the above is accurate.

You give the impression that those picking Jones see something that most of us have missed. The more likely scenario is that it's the other way around.

I don't dislike Calzaghe, I do think he will win by Decision
But I really want to see Jones pull it off.
