Point is that an excuse can still be made from the Duran fan-boys.

Pretty much, I'm asking for "the perfect win". The only one I can think of right now is...

          Manny Pacquiao-Marco Antonio Barrera I

By the way, super close decisions that could have easily gone the other way don't count either... so Morales-Barrera I = no dice.

Let's see what you all can come up with!

......................... hmmmmm........ It's actually very hard to find a single fight where at least the fanboys cannot come up with something.
Willard was 37 years old and hadn't fought in 3 years.

No one uses that as an excuse for him though.

200 pounds of fat. Duran was also getting older, there are a ton of excuses for that fight.

Corrales spit out his mouthpiece twice.

            Otherwise a very good list.

How about James Toney vs. Michael Nunn.

No excuses for that fight and it really was a good win for Toney. Even though Nunn was ahead on the cards at the time of the stoppage, Toney came back and knocked him out. I don't think you can make an excuse for that other than Nunn wasn't fighting the right fight against Toney.

Excuse: If there ever was a lucky punch, this was it. Nunn got caught after winning the fight handily on the cards. In a rematch and with the right conditioning, Toney wouldn't lay a glove on Nunn.

You could say Mosley was never the same after he clashed heads with Forrest in their first fight and Arce was too small for Mijares.

I disagree. I watched that fight for the first time recently and I thought Nunn was winning most of the rounds but Toney was breaking him down and he was landing more and more as the fight went on. The reason he caught him with the "lucky punch" is because he was breaking him down and tiring him out and Nunn got sloppy. It wasn't like Toney was getting his ass kicked the whole fight, he was just not doing quite enough to win the rounds.

Nunn could have beat Toney if he didn't try to out fight him on the inside as much. If he had kept him at the end of his jab it would have been an easy fight for him. Don't get me wrong, he had his moments on the inside but I just feel that when the fight stayed inside, Toney was getting the better of him.

I also think Toney would have defeated him again in a rematch. I don't think Nunn ever got back to the way he was after that fight.
