Joan Guzman: "I Was Wrong, and I Apologize"

The promoter is screwed too. The network wont pay, and the site fee money wont come from the venue. The promoter can ultimately recover most of the spent hard costs, but not all of them.
The fighter's recourse is to get a judgement against the breaching party (in this case Guzman), and if he ever fights in the US again then money can be recovered from future purses. Or, his promoter can offer a settlement, and make prorated deductions from that fighters future purses.

The punishment for not making weight should be a fight with Tye "****in" Fields with UFC gloves in a 10x10 ring.

Guzman must walk around at about 180lbs or something. It's ridiculous. To be moving-up in weight from super-feather to lightweight. But, he still comes in 3.5lbs over. He doesn't sound very professional. Surely if the fight had gone ahead campbell would have knocked him out, if guzman was actually that drained!

He aplologized like a man and like a man I will accept it. Hope he learns from this and grows because of it.

He misled a lot of people with his dishonesty.
