Not sure but if he comes in at 150 that's $9 Million to Pacquiao!

yes, people are being very hard on guzman. people expect professional athletes to be perfect but the truth is that they are only human and make mistakes just like the rest of us. hopefully he will learn from his mistake and make the best of it!

hopefully.. and you are right but after this stunt it's gonna be very hard for him to find another big name title fight like this. I know we all make mistakes and Guzman made a really big one but there was no reason why he should have came in 3 and a half pounds over weight.

They expect professional fighters to be professional and unless my definition of professional is off by a mile, I'd say that most of the criticism has been warranted.

A dehydrated fighters risk of a brain injury gets multiplied when in that sort of state as the protective fluids around the brain get diminished.

I'm sure he's more disappointed then anyone as he is not going to get that payday he really needs, no positive exposure or future fights with other top stars in the division, etc. I don't understand the hate for a guy who made a mistake. This sort of thing happens from time to time in boxing unfortunately, give the guy a break and see if he can redeem himself.
well i'm almost 100% sure that guzman will get another shot against a top flight lightweight or gets on a good undercard as soon as his suspension or whatever is over... he IS signed with GBP.

No, he isn't. He is signed to Sycuan. If he was signed with Golden Boy, why wasn't he fighting on their card, which was the same night?

And considering Guzman hasnt got a brain it can be even more serious
                    hehehe

Nah Guzman is cool but took the piss with the weight issue
But your health is a lot more important then anything else so he did the right thing...
