This story is a lie. I spoke again this morning with the Miss. Commission, and they re-affirmed that their doctors had CLEARED Guzman to fight, and Guzman himself elected not to fight. They again explained to him the consequences of not fighting, and Guzman re-affirmed his decision to not fight. This will be illustrated by the fact that Guzman is receiving an indefinite "administrative" suspension from the Miss. Commission. Had the doctor not cleared him, his suspension would be labeled as "medical".

and FYI, Guzman is not co-promoted by GBP. Sycuan bought out GBP's interest some time ago and was in the process of negotiating a new co-promotional deal with Top Rank.

I don't know what you're talking about, he hasn't been with GBP for a long time.

** How ya doing after all the lies and fiascos, Terry?

Appreciate your take, but it was obvious the title could never be on the line after Guzzy showed up 3.5 lbs over. More interesting is that after all the promotion and training that he wouldn't make it a non title fight.

Since his camp has been largely silent, and lies are stock in trade in boxing, nobody but a few insiders knows the real skinny, but obviously he has a career weight problem. He dropped the Hairyson fight because of weight, the Arthur fight because of weight, and now without a single lightweight fight to his credit, drops his 3rd fight because of weight.

Heck, be happy you have Nate and only have to worry about keeping his hands up

The arthur fight was not because of weight the fight was delayed by Frank Warran then Warren gave him a deal to vacate the belt (which arthur picked up w/o even fighting) and in turn had the WBO rank Guzman Campbell's mandatory fight. That's how this fight was even to happen in the first place (Guzman ranked #1 at 135 w/o even fighting in the weight class??). Come on.
