According to my guide provided by comcast, at 8pm tonight the Best Damn Sport's Show comes on and is on til 10 pm. Okay, when I push the "info" button for that channel and time, instead of comment's about the show, this is what it say's, word for word:
"A heavy weight title fight between James Toney (67-4-2,43 ko) and Rydell Booker (22-0,12 ko) in Temecula, Ca. Barry Tompkins call's the bout alongside analysts Max Kellerman and Sean O'Grady."....so, do I get to see the fight or not? That is the same channel the Sunday Night Fight alway's comes on, and it's the same city and state (Temecula,CA) and the same commentators. The only thing throwing me off is the reference to the sport's show. Anybody have any idea? Other than wanting to see it myself, I am taping it for someone, and if it's not coming on I need to know so I can get a family member to tape it for me! Help
This came from the site a month ago - I assume the show will be like the "studio" of a football telecast and that they will go the fight that way.

THE BEST DAMN UNDERCARD PERIOD IS ANNOUNCED
Posted on Monday, August 23 @ 12:13:29 CDT by Rick Reeno

WAYNE McCULLOUGH AND CEDRIC BOSWELL RETURN TO THE RING ON JAMES TONEY-RYDELL BOOKER CARD SEPTEMBER 23 AT PECHANGA RESORT AND CASINO

LOS ANGELES, August 23 – It will be a night of long-anticipated returns on Thursday, September 23 at the Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula, California, when three-division world champion and current #1 heavyweight contender James “Lights Out” Toney enters the ring for the first time since undergoing surgery earlier this year and battles unbeaten rising star Rydell Booker in a 12 round WBC Continental Americas and IBA world championship bout to be televised live on Fox Sports Net's “Best Damn Sports Show Period.” And while the return of “Lights Out” is cause enough for boxing fans to be glued to their television sets, two other high-profile warriors will make their 2004 debuts on the card as well, when former bantamweight world champion Wayne “The Pocket Rocket” McCullough and heavyweight contender Cedric “The Bos” Boswell roar back onto the boxing scene in two compelling 10 rounders.

“If you're a boxing fan, this is a show you can't miss,” said Dan Goossen of Goossen Tutor Promotions. “Not only do you have the best damn heavyweight in the world, James Toney, fighting live on the “Best Damn Sports Show Period,” but you can also see Cedric Boswell, who is one of the most exciting heavyweights of this new generation, taking on a former world champion in the co-feature, and the return of one of the sport's true warriors in Wayne McCullough.

Doors open at 4pm (PT) and the first bout starts at 4:15pm (PT). The main event starts at 5:30pm (PT).

I get the feeling this clown thinks the Klits are better fighters than Toney, in the lb4lb sense. If so, proves the guy is opening his mouth before his eyes. This is an epidemic on this board....a lot of people, especially ethnically biased ones, who talk a lot of **** about things they don't know.
I get the feeling that you're an overly-sensitive little **** who can't stand it when someone talks negatively about your favorite boxers.

I like the Klits because of their behavior outside the ring as well as inside the ring.
Toney acts and looks like a crazed gorilla.
What's there to like about him?

Sorry, fool....Toney is not one of my favorites. But I certainly see how technically skilled the man is.
You can't...because you're all hung up on his antics outside the ring.

Tell me now....is either Klit on the same planet with James Toney as far as boxing skill ?

              I can't say.
I really don't see why people praise Toney because he beat an old past his prime cruiserweight and some B,C, and possibly D level opponents.

You like the Klits' behavior in & out of the ring ?

Like how Wlad get the tar beaten out of him by a journeyman & then his people concocted some STORY about his blood sugar & a possible poisoning...?

You thought that was cool for them to do ?

Was it Wlad that took part in it?

I don't know about the story being true, but he did look weird in that match.

Mike McCallum is an "A"-level opponent. Michael Nunn, Prince Charles Williams, Merqui Sosa, Reggie Johnson, Iran Barkley....
                    EXCELLENT fighters.

I think you should stop talking now.

Even if he didnt take part in it, I would have thought much more of him if he had tried to put a stop to it. ( I tried to send you some good karma (you could definately use it) but it said I couldnt for 24 hr's..sorry!)
