The "if Cotto couldn't do it then Hatton can't" argument is about the weakest you could produce, especially considering Cotto was dead at the weight when he fought Malignaggi yet still managed to bust him up and drop him.

Hatton took some massive shots in earlier fights and just shrugged them off.
left hooks are the punches that have only ever given him trouble (as far as i remember) and ones that have been pretty solid. i think his chin will stand up to anything paulie throws. and i think his chin will last out longer than paulies hands. the minute paulies hand goes hatton will end his world... and paulie is gonna have to throw hard shots to keep hatton off him. i dont see a way paulie wins unless hatton is shot or ruined after mayweather. he struggled with lazcano.. but that was a determined proud warrior giving it one last go.(imo)

not sure if hatton will? there is no doubt he will win...but a ko is uncertin!

he has got the power to drop anyone with a clean punch. but it is weather he can land it.

i think the best chance is with a body shot IMO. every fighter has a diffrent chin. but just about every fighter will "crack"(excuse the pun) from flush body shot to the ribs!!

i want to see hatton with major varity...like two to the head one to the chest then a left and right to the ribs.

is he fights smart he will win with a ko!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hatton could stop Paulie. However, I have a feeling he won't. With his team breaking up, and his recent illness and all that, I think he will be a bit distracted. Adding to that, Hatton has started to hold more and more recently and smother his work. I think he will win a UD in a messy fight, by outworking and over powering (Physically) Malignaggi.

He is a strong guy, and wears fighters down with body shots. But he is not a devestating puncher at World Level, he don't KO guys with 1 shot. He never has been a massive puncher at the top level, Tszyu fight and onwards

                    Tszyu- 11 rounds
                    Maussa-9 rounds
                    Collazo- 12 rounds
                    Urango- 12 rounds
Castillo- 4 rounds (Good shot, I think JLC could have got up if he had any incentive to do so)
                    Mayweather- 10 rounds
                    Lazcano- 12 rounds

This should prove he isn't that big of a puncher imo.
