Anyone else think Hatton stops Malinaggi?

I don't think Hatton will stop him. Malignaggi may not be the hardest hitter, but he's very tough and can stay in there with the best of them. I expect Hatton to win, but I'll be surprised by a stoppage.

I didn't say he is a **** puncher at all, you claimed he could drop anyone with a clean shot. Which is not true, he can wear fighters down through accumulation but not 1 punch.

The reason I chose those 7 is because that's when he stepped up, before that he had very few noteworthy wins. The Phillips win was probably his best prior to Tszyu, and that went 12.

Ngoudjo should have stopped Paulie.

I think a faded Hatton should at least win this, if he has more than that left he gets Paulie out of there who will get pinned on the ropes and has no inside fighting ability and will be heavily outmuscled in the clinches. Also Paulie fights, is not that slick. He has a great chin and a massive heart, so he might see it out even with Hatton at his best.

I don't give Malignaggi much of a chance actually.

Given that Malinaggi has no power, which is pretty much Hattons only weakness, I am going with Hatton by TKO over Malinaggi.

Don't compare Cotto to Hatton, sure Cotto has KO power but at LWW hes a total different fighter, he lacks stamina, punch rate and was weight drained etc. Hatton punches often, punches hard and has a bucket load of stamina. Hatton IMo will tko/ko him, my signature proves it.

Not to mention half of the time in that fight Cotto seemed to be sleeping out there. But either way, Paulie is tough and I wouldnt be surprised if Hatton didnt stop him.

Is Paulie a slick boxer? I don't see it at all. He has a nice quick Jab (literally his only weapon) and is not particularly elusive Ndou who has the slowest feet I have ever seen at the top level for a guy so small nailed him repeatedly.

hatton can punch at a shade under two tons! no one can stand up to that with a clean punch! he could **** as hard as a super middle weight! if joe calzaghe can knock out a ****load of guys at SMW with his supposed "baby fists" then so could hatton!!!

Just pointing out that Ricky isn't a massive 1 punch KO kinda guy. He wears fighters down to the body, although I think he would have stopped more of his last 7 oppennets if he hadn't smothered his work as much, a flaw he should work on

It's odd in a way, Hatton seems to have gone backwards recently, he was a much better fighter before the Tszyu fight imo. He didn't smother his work as much, landed clean hurtful shots to the body and broke them down to the body. His stamina back then was great too, the Thaxton fight was ****in' unbelievable! But his stamina seems to fade more now,

I think the blowing up between fights has started to have an effect on him now. A few years back I think he would have stopped Paulie, now I think he outworks him to a UD.

His stamina is half of what it was, he was Calzaghesque before. There is only so much Guiness and chinese food a little man like that can get through if he is trying to be a world class athlete. Ricky is a bit of an idiot to be fair, but I guess it's his money and that's how he wants to spend it.

If Ricky loses to Paulie Malignaggi then he is shot beyond believe. Paulie is not an elite level fighter, he shouldn't really be able to be a world champion with such a limited arsenal (a quick jab)
