a fine is good enough... he isn't the only fighter to not make weight on fight night.
some of my favs have had trouble including Castillo and Corrales.
I understand that it was his fault for ballooning up so big since last he fought.. I know it's been a year but that's no excuse to get so out of shape.
But all this doesn't merit a suspension.. he will get fined and as if it wasn't hard before it's gonna be even harder now to get Joan the big fights.
That's punishment enough.. He did this to himself though, can't blame anyone but him.
But he won't get suspended.. although with this going on.. he's gonna be as good as suspended trying to sign a contract.

when you are dehydrated you are dehydrated and there is not much you can do.
he made the mistake of ballooning up so big that he couldn't make weight.. but another mistake would have been not fighting at full health. Because he was over doesn't mean he was healthy.

I understand that a dimwitted circle jerk fan might and will be confused when someone tells something harsh on their favorite fighter, but let me explain some things to you when it is clear that you are too up someone ass to understand things.

There were supposed to be 3 Castillo/Corrales fights

1st fight was epic, maybe you didn't know what.

The 2nd fight went on even after Castillo was overweight with Corrales being ok with it... That is why he wasn't suspended. The fight went on as a non title fight.

The 3rd fight didn't go on due to Castillo being overweight and Corrales objecting to the fight which he has every right to. The fight was canceled just like what happened this past Saturday. The result of the fight being cancelled? Castillo was suspended for the rest of the year, couldn't fight at the weight division he was suppose to fight in, and was fined $250,000 for being overweight and canceling the main event.

You say you don't disown your fighters. You are a fan of Guzman and not a fan of boxing. You know what a circle jerk fan is? It is someone who only defends and backs up their favorite boxer no matter what, but you didn't know that did you? You are so gullible that you are laughing at yourself.

It is ****ing ******ed that you don't understand facts and blindly and ******ly defend your fighter.

I know that 500 dollars goes a long way over there in the Dominican Republic, but in the USA that is a weeks pay in a deadend job.

I've posted with Terry for some years now and even had the pleasure of speaking to both him and Nate on the the phone. Its him, and he knows what he's talking about. He is somebody you can be sure has his finger on the pulse.

Good article by Nate. He seems rather articulate. This is such a ****-up and I'm so disappointed. Guzman was one of my favourite fighters and it's enough of a ****e only getting to see him fight once a year, but when he finally gets a huge fight like this and then ****s it up with weight crap by muscling up too much and not being able to pull off enough weight, it's just.....

Sad. Screwed up so many people, himself worst of all, as he'll probably struggle to ever get a big fight again now.
