    Yes I remember that Gamache fight, and mentioned it recently. It caused such an outcry that they brought in laws to avoid such weight disparity in the future. I think, maybe, that it also instigated the 30 day and 7 day weigh-ins, so that fighters would not be able to damage themselves with huge purging and sweatboxes.

    I don't know if it's made much difference to a deeply ensconced boxing custom. It looks from here as iof Guzman is used to fighting at widely differing weights even in successive fights.

      Undertrain?! No its overtrain...He has built alot of muscle and that is the reason why I feel...he knew it would have been impossible to lose 3.5 pounds in 2 hours. Did you see his pic

            He should have donated blood like Duran did to make weight vs Hearns. He had months to make weight in the biggest fight of his career.

            He is putting another fighter life in danger if he blatantly disregards the weight limit, and if Campbell feels that he would be at a decidedly at a disadvantage he should call the fight off.
