Exactly. You have to understand boxing is not like other sports where its basically set up for certain teams to meet if they do what needs to be done. In boxing **** is about money and fame and Margarito provides none of that. Truthfully Margarito is still not a top draw famous after beating Cotto. I personally think that PBF would not have gotten the credit he would have deserved for beating Margarito especially with the way he would have fought Margarito. Most would have said PBF was the favorite and Margarito is slow and throws wide looping punches and has poor defense. If De la Hoya would have beat him it would have been looked upon as great because he is out of his prime and Margarito was a good opponent but no hall of famer or a generational standout fighter. Cotto would have gotten the most credit for winning because he still had questions about him but we all saw what happened.

I really think money, credit and fame are the reasons the elite fighters won't fight him.

No one wanted to fight this guy for the simple fact he didnt do anything prior to Cotto
he had 5 loses and wouldnt attract any kinda of money
but now that he pulled a good win im sure everyone wants a piece of him(Williams,Mosley,Mayorga,Clottey etc)

so wouldnt it seem that he is now Ducking those fighters???
by saying " i want Delahoya blah blah blah"

But we are talking now, not what happened before. And Mosley said he would be willing to fight him now.

The top 2 guys in the division, Clottey and Williams, want to fight Margarito.

In the past Tony had a hard time getting fights against the best, but that isn't true anymore.

He's the top guy, and can take his pick.

I wouldnt say Mayweather is COMPLETELY avoiding him. There was an $8 million offer for floyd to fight Margarito right? Well we all know floyd is about his money, so if he is going to make MORE money fighting someone else, that is what hes going to do. Lets be serious here, as bad as Floyd's rep for "dodging" fights is, he would box circles around Margarito for 12 rounds.

And Margarito already fought them.

So seriously, what is it about him that makes fighters turn the other way?
                    Yes you are.

                      PLAIN AND BASIC COMMON SENSE!!!

But seriously alot of top welters are looking to fight Margarito for example Williams and Clottey. Only two fighters who really avoided him was Oscar and Mayweather.
