Lightweight has fighters that are a lot bigger and stronger and since Guzman didn't have much power at junior lightweight, then i figure it would be even worse at lightweight. Juan Diaz is a natural lightweight and Campbell had no problems pushing him back. Guzman needs a strong punch to keep Campbell off of him and if he doesn't have it, then Nate will be in his chest all day.
Well David Diaz was a natural 140 pounder (even fought at 147) and Pacquiao made lunch meat out of him!! He was much bigger. Pacquiao's speed was the true killer in that fight though.

Guzman has the speed. He doesn't have KO power but he does have a pop to his punch. Campbell could have an iron chin though and I still don't think that matters much with a guy like Guzman. I don't think Guzman hurt Soto once. He did land cleanly, which he'll do against campbell. Main difference is guzman's defense will keep campbell missing, imo.

Will be close though, just hopin for a good fight and this hurricane not to **** it up

very valid points but dont you feel Campbell will have a lot more success than Soto or Barrios had he is a more diverse fighter IMO he goes to the body very well he beat the fight outta Diaz by going downstairs and you can be sure that is what he will be looking to do to Guzman

Yes I do, campbell is better then soto and barrios obviously, which is why I think this will be a very close fight. Only thing that worries me to be honest is guzman's lack of activity over the last year....the cancellation by alex arthur ****ed things up and guzman hasn't fought in a long time and campbell does work the body. Only way I can see guzman losing this fight is if he gasses at the end and loses the later rounds based on lack of activity.

I gotta roll with my man Guzman although Nate is a very good fighter too.
Nate could very well win this but Guzman is too fast and too skilled UNLESS he gets caught.

            GUZMAN by UD.

I see what you mean and good points, but David Diaz was nothing special by any means. Pacquaio did a great job against a very good champion that won his title in the ring, but Diaz was a very limited fighter and i highly doubt that Pacquaio would do that against someone of the caliber of Juan Diaz or even Michael Kadsitas. Nate is multi dimensional and uses his advantages to his advantage. People think that Nate is this one hit wonder and just popped up in the fight with Juan, but Nate loss a controversial decision to a prime Casamayor and did not only become the first to beat Kid Diamond, but he actually dominated an stopped him. He also has good wins over Ricky Quiles, Diamond ect.

Also, we don't know how fast Guzman will be at lightweight and when you are dealing with a pressure fighter, then you would need to have some type of power to get his respect an keep him at bay. Nate also has rough house tactics and could throw Guzman out of his game.
