No excuse for not defeating Pacquiao. This is almost a guaranteed win for Oscar. They way Oscar demolished Gatti, the way he walked through Gatti's punches or deflected them....sure Pac is faster than Gatti and may his harder...but Oscar has taken shots from Mosely, Vargas, JCC, sparred with Margarito, took on Hopkins.

No excuse. He should defeat Pacquiao.

Great that Oscar likely has little trouble making 147. He should handle pac quite easy IMO. Hopefully this fight sets up a final fight for DLH: Margarito.

If it's true, then wow. I expected Oscar to have hell making 147, if he is already at 149 then that's good (for him). Personally, I think Pacquiaos only chance is that De La Hoya comes in drained..

Maybe it is true. From Dan Rafael's blog.

I was with Oscar De La Hoya on Thursday evening for an interview while he ate dinner (steak and steamed broccoli) in a private room at a restaurant at the MGM Grand, and I can say this -- he already looks like he is in tremendous condition 2 1/2 months before he meets Manny Pacquiao. De La Hoya said he was already down to about 151 pounds on his way to 147 for the Dec. 6 fight. How serious is De La Hoya? He is traveling with strength and conditioning coach Rob Garcia. Among the many things De La Hoya had to say was that he believed Floyd Mayweather Jr. , who retired suddenly in June and canceled a September rematch with De La Hoya, would definitely fight again.

I've said it before and I'll say it again....with almost a day and a half between the weigh in and the fight, Oscar will have plenty of to to replenish his body and rehydrate. If these were still the times of same day weigh in, thjere would be a very good chance of him being to weak to make it thru 12, especially with his history of fading late. As it is, he'll be facing a much smaller man who is not accustomed to fighting this high in weight. hat I do think could be a problem is coming in overtrained. If he is really at 149 with 12 weeks left before the fight there is a good chance he that he could leave his "A" game in the gym. That said, Im still willing to bet he beats Manny come fight time.

Sorry, but I won't let you... the bandwagon fan blow Pac's win up after he beats Dlh. You are a band wagon fan to the highest degree lol. ou'll ride with any fighter who is winning at the moment. You'll say anything, and you'll create a weak argument to make any fighter appear greater than Floyd lol.

What if Cotto and Marg meet in June and Cotto comes out the winner?

Think DLH will fight him instead of Marg considering I don't think Floyd comes out of retirement ??

He did look very fit in the ESPN interview and compared to Hatton last night he looked damn skinny.
