Philippines wasn't hyping their boxers until Pacland and the Cebuanos came riding on Pacman's popularity to sell previously unknown fighters Bautista, Gorres and Banal. Mexico always had a "next Chavez".

        This is true.

Our media hypes and then brutalises all our sports stars. They'll leave Khan alone because he is a 21 year old, in fact I barely read a word about his loss in the papers.

The Khan hype has done alot of good things for British boxing, a lot of good things. Certainly one of the most important British boxers of the last decade despite probably not being able to cut it.

He: 1./Got boxing back on terrestrial television
2./ Brought wider focus to boxing in general, Calzaghe was screen on terrestrial TV-one sports personality of the year, Haye, Maccarinelli, Witter, Mitchell have also appeared.
3./ Increased funding through the lottery to amateur boxing

Not sure any of this **** is possible without Khan. He is a nationwide darling in his own right and a boxer, that's a good thing.

UK no Doubt. They have so many undefeated fighters only because they fight bums. When 90% of them steps up to the world class they get knocked out. Hatton Got exposed but He's still world class. Calzaghe Needs to fight someone in their prime, sure he dominated Kessler but Kessler aint no Pavlik or Abraham. Haye Runs his mouth sooo much that he hypes his own self up. Too bad Klitchko will expose him next year...

Not to say he won't get his come up fight, but he's looking more natural and solid than most other upcomers considering he's got no amateur experience. Mexico is no bull****. If they have a real good fighter, they'll throw his ass into the lions cage with like 10 fights under his belt to see if he's really worth their time. Haha
besides chavez? uhm. bojado? the next golden boy.

I have to ask on what basis Kessler is "no Pavlik or Abraham", but I don't want you to answer because I suspect it won't make much sense.
