Taylor Fight Froch You *****!!

What does this have to do with anything? We were talking about the circumstances surrounding a potential Calzaghe v Froch fight compared with a Taylor v Froch fight, now you are posting random Calzaghe bashing?
Try thinking about what you're arguing before you post and also consider admitting when you are wrong. Think about what you are trying to say: that Calzaghe should have fought Froch rather than Bernard Hopkins! Its just silly, and you are allowing a desire to bash Calzaghe to cloud your judgement.
As for this random Calzaghe resume splurge, I agree the average standard of Calzaghe opponents could be higher, as could Hopkins and Jones' too. I have seen nearly every fight in Calzaghe's career and remind you that of the nobodies you list, Reid, Woodhall, Brewer and Mitchell had been world champions who lost their title in the year prior to facing Calzaghe, with their fights with him representing a chance to get a title back. The fact they lost to Joe, and failed to regain their their titles means that now they are regarded as nobodies, when in fact they weren't. You might even say that when they faced Joe they were in exactly the same position Jermain Taylor is now, I wonder if a few years from now, posters like you will be calling Taylor a nobody, and you, a little older and wiser, will be trying to explain to the ignorant buffoons that in fact he wasn't, a bit like I am with you now.Comment

1st off I never said that......YOU DID. You brought that point up, not I......I just found it funny how Calzaghes ducking is different from Taylors ducking........both are bull**** statements and I hope now through my sarcastic statement about Joe you finally understand this. It was said to trigger some kind of thought process in your biased Calzaghe mind.
the nobodies you list, Reid, Woodhall, Brewer and Mitchell had been world champions
2nd off.....I never listed Robin Reid on my list, go back and correct yourself. My point is IMO Calzaghes resume doesnt stack up to that of an ATGs. He fought below his class in his prime and when he finally starts fighting ATGs they all just happened to be old. hmmmm??
You might even say that when they faced Joe they were in exactly the same position Jermain Taylor is now
if thats the case why all of a sudden in Joes case those same fighters are now reputable but earlier you said Taylors ducking. Im sure the same fighters you named all had tune ups before facing Joe so why not the same for Jermaine???
I agree with the threadstarter. Dress it up however you want, but Taylor's camp has refused to accept or make a purse bid for a title fight ordered by the WBC, in favour of an easy fight against what amounts to a bum. That's fact. You can excuse it by saying Taylor wants a tuneup or whatever, but it doesn't alter the fact that an easy opponent has been chosen over a risky one, and a meaningless fight over a title fight. It is a duck, plain and simple.

All these "who the **** is Froch" comments makes Taylor look bad not fighting Froch. Obviously you lot don't regard Froch as a good boxer, then fighting Froch shouldn't be a problem, right? Seeing as Taylor lost his last two fights, this should be a good way to bounce back. Oh yeah and the WBC title is on the line. Surely that's a greater incentive to fight Froch?Comment
