I kinda get the point you getting at.... an easy fight for a title right?
(I'm trying to see if we're on the same page here)

Ok so look at like this...Why should he be rushed back into a world title fight after he was just KO and lost a decision to Pavlik...I think he needs a fight he know he can win to gain his confidence back...The time with Froch and Taylor will come homie...Taylor will be a force at 168..I promise you that!
I like Taylor, will defo be a force at SMW I agree.

There is no such thing as an easy title fight, but out of all the possible title fights in the division it is the easiest for him (kinda on the same page as you). IMO the only difference between Froch and Lacy is Froch is full of confidence, Lacy has none.

I have no doubt if Taylor applied himself for a fight with Froch he would win comfortably. Thats why I'm frustrated with him, a win over Froch with a title would give him double the confidence of a win over Lacy, and he is definitely capable of doing it.

I want Taylor to fight Froch because I believe a win over him is far better for him and his confidence than a win over Lacy (except financially).

IMO he should hire Lacy as a sparring partner for a Froch fight, so he can get confidence that he can batter Lacy about, then take care of business against the Cobra

dont include me in that bunch i never thought lil jeff was special.. he was a fighter with good power but lacked fundamentals and was a basic overhyped fighter, and calzaghe proved that.. froch is another basic overhyped fighter.. i actually KNOW REAL TALENT when i see it

How can you possibly equate Calzaghe fighting Froch with Taylor fighting Froch? You seem to be overestimating Taylor's current status as a boxer. Right now he's a SMW without a win at the weight who lost his last two fights and who was given the chance to fight for a title but instead chose to fight Jeff Lacy.

Calzaghe was an undefeated 10 year SMW champion who held all the belts, the Ring title and had beaten the #1 guy in the division in Kessler. He had the chance to fight Froch in a fight that would have added nothing to his career than another W on his SMW defence list, but instead chose to step up a division to fight Bernard Hopkins, the consensus #1 LHW and Ring titlist.

If you don't see the difference I can only conclude you are a moron of the highest degree.
Joe coulda been moved up to LHW a long time ago when there were real threats at that weight.......Joe moved up to fight an OLD Bernard who prior to that only had one win as a LHW.........matter fact....hes 1-2 at LHW so stop all that

my question is if you've been swimming in the SMW ranks for 10 years shouldnt you have unified the titles a long time ago........who ya been fighting all this time? oh....i'll tell ya who:

              Evans Ashira
              Kabary Salem
              Mger Mkrtchian

              Peter Manfredo Jr

              Charles Brewer
              Will McIntyre
              Mario Veit (twice)
              Richie Woodhall

              Rick Thornberry
              Juan Carlos Gimenez Ferreyra
              Branko Sobot

you took it as a joke?

and i dont see much hype around froch myself, rather common sense by boxing connoisseurs who appreciate his potential at SMW and as a fighter,i not hyping him i just want the better fights which boxing isnt providing nowadays,taylor/lacy delahoya, pacman etc etc

What does this have to do with anything? We were talking about the circumstances surrounding a potential Calzaghe v Froch fight compared with a Taylor v Froch fight, now you are posting random Calzaghe bashing?

Try thinking about what you're arguing before you post and also consider admitting when you are wrong. Think about what you are trying to say: that Calzaghe should have fought Froch rather than Bernard Hopkins! Its just silly, and you are allowing a desire to bash Calzaghe to cloud your judgement.

As for this random Calzaghe resume splurge, I agree the average standard of Calzaghe opponents could be higher, as could Hopkins and Jones' too. I have seen nearly every fight in Calzaghe's career and remind you that of the nobodies you list, Reid, Woodhall, Brewer and Mitchell had been world champions who lost their title in the year prior to facing Calzaghe, with their fights with him representing a chance to get a title back. The fact they lost to Joe, and failed to regain their their titles means that now they are regarded as nobodies, when in fact they weren't. You might even say that when they faced Joe they were in exactly the same position Jermain Taylor is now, I wonder if a few years from now, posters like you will be calling Taylor a nobody, and you, a little older and wiser, will be trying to explain to the ignorant buffoons that in fact he wasn't, a bit like I am with you now.
