Cotto alone, isolated and in a mental slump.

Here's to hoping for a nice bounce back for Cotto, although I must say that such a physically and mentally devastating defeat is very hard to recover from. Cotto will likely comeback IMO but by no means is it certain that it will be with the same force he had before Margarito.
Its not your English, it was perfect, I think its just that anything depressing makes me laugh. Strange. I do hope cotto comes back. its funny isn't it how a fighter can have an aura of invincibility and then suddenly seem so much more beatable and vulnerable after a single loss.

Nah... I think Cotto is in determination mode. He is in assassin mode. Focused and furious inside. He will be better when he returns.

          LOL..this article is kinda funny.

Cotto has been spotted out and about after his fight with Margarito. I don't think he's that ****** or mentally ****ed to think that 1 loss can ruin his career being he has the opportunity to avenge his loss next Summer.

I think he'll come back more prepared and experienced.

Well we have seen it before.

The good example is Joe Louis, who had made a sweep in the HW division until he ran into a comparable defeat at the hands of the black ulan Max Schmeling. That defeat was equally devastating. Louis took a thourough beating freom round 4 and onwards. In the process taking several jolting rights to his swollen face.

            Louis had a nice comeback...............

I dont think any regular loss would of made him think his career was ruined, but i think its the way that he lost. Im a big Cotto fan, he's in my top 5 current fighters, and marg. prob. wouldnt make my top 20. And in my humble opinion Cotto can out box marg. to win a rematch. But back to this last fight between the two, Cotto did not get knocked out, he looked for his corner to bail him out, i once had a puppy who I would spank when he pissed in the house, and I dont mean for this to be funny, it's the first thing that came to my mind when i was watching the fight, but the way Cotto took a knee the second time before he even got hit and looked up at Marg is the same way my scared little puppy would look at me when he knew he did wrong. I hope he bounces back and I wish him the best, but that was a tough way to lose.

I think this loss will only open COtto's eyes. In some fights he seemed to be a bit ****y, but in a way im excited to see how he comes back.

He might come back hungrier, or might just fail. This loss will wake him up, and one can only imagine the feeling. I know he is angry inside.

I always thought the fact that he went out and got tattoos right after his loss kind of bizarre considering he didn't have any previous tattoos. Guess it's his way of trying to deal how he was affected mentally from the fight.

Miguel lost more than his title, his 0, and the fight......he lost a peice of his soul this is a tough, brutal, unforgiving sport......A peice of Miguel was left in Vegas on July 26.....he can't get it back. I like Cotto, but if these things are true......he's done! I call this the Meldrick Taylor syndrom......if there was a fight that Cotto-Marg resembled, then it had to be Chavez-Taylor I.....that fight ruined Meldrick.
