Whoa you couldn't be anymore wrong. Cotto doesn't duck no one, he fights straight up. stop thinking about the Paulie's in his career and start looking at the Shane's.. even still he's a WAY better pugilist overall in any category over Margarito he's just not as physically big.

Long way from now. We'll see if it really happens. I'd rather see both guys get tested again. Why wait a whole year until we see them in a real fight again? No tune-ups hopefully. Just winnable fights. Interesting news though, I figured a rematch would be next summer.
Why so soon you ask?
So they can make as much money of off Cotto before he gets exposed again. Then they wont make **** off of him.
I bet Cotto fights Collazo or some bull**** feather fisted fighter.
This is how it has been his whole career. Fight some who had a punch, got rocked, then fight feather dusters. Its what Cotto does.
Of course I would have talked **** and said Golden Johnson would beat Margarito if I was an ignorant hater, like when you picked Gomez to beat Cotto.Comment

If you watch the Cotto-Margarito fight again, Cotto never fought like that before. That simply wasn't his fight. He's not a pure boxer and he isn't a jab and move guy. Why he thought that'd work is beyond me. The rematch isn't physical, but tactical and mental. If Cotto can exercise the right game plan and there aren't any lingering effects from the first fight mentally, he can put himself in the right position to win. But when you're fighting a guy like Margarito, everything is hard.
Cotto ended the Shane fight the same way he fought Tony...backing up.
The difference being...Shane can't fight moving foreward.Comment

I disagree. Shane can fight moving forward, it's moving backwards that gives him issues. He's not a boxer so to say, he doesn't set punches up with the jab really. He's a tough flurry fighter, fights in bursts and explosions. Also his right hand is an overhand club, a punch you can't throw moving backwards.Comment

This should be a good fight again and although i'm a Margarito fan, if Cotto fights with better defense and more movement, he might be able to pull off the upset(i thought he was winning the early rounds 1-4). If he tries to go head to head with the Zona Norte Chingon then its going to end up just like the first fight.
On the real tho, AFTER Margarito wins again, HE BETTER FIGHT P.Will!!!!!!!!!!!Comment

like i said on the other margarito/cotto thread this is a bad decision by cotto if he does go through with wanting a rematch. Margarito is a bad matchup for Cotto and with margarito knowing that cotto cant hurt him well he will be even more aggressive against him chasing him down landing devestating body shots! Cotto will have to run around and that wont win with the judgesComment

Oh here comes Boof!
You're SO blinded for your love of Floyd.
You have more confidence in Floyd than Floyd has in himself!
His hands are shot and he knows these guys are dangerous, so
he doesn't wanna fight em, but YOU INSIST on stating that Floyd's
not avoiding them, even after all the news coverage on it.
Go ahead and keep making up your own news. I don't know what's
worse the girls you post in your sig and avatar or your ignorant opinions!
Your "book" doesn't matter much anyway! Margs at the top whether you like it or not! Never was a champion?
Say something intelligent, would you?

Let myself and boxingscene know when Margs and Arum come to an agreement that Williams is worthy of a fight with Margs...lol.Comment

The point is... Marg already fought Wil...
What Wil has to do is STAY BZ and STAY RELEVANT.
The big fights will come naturally if you continue to build momentum.
WIl should be fighting before the end of the year and 3 times next year.
Then he becomes an unquestionable elite.
It's all common sense really.Comment

no, no, don't misunderstand me. I'm not talking about his time IN the olympics, I mean his time FROM the olympics up until this point - meaning his WHOLE career. If you watch all his fights you'll see a collage of styles including jab & move boxing.
You're right about 'fighting, moving a little with breaks in between', then when he senses his opponent is weary he closes the show by non-stop attacks - not ALL his fights, but lots.
"systematic break down" is CORRECT.
