There were six rounds to go. Let's not act like this was Chavez-Taylor here. And based on the last two rounds, Klitschko was on his way to getting stopped. Wait...he DID get stopped.

Ugh...I hate this debate. It's as if something other than Lewis' fists caused the stoppage.

boof you know it was controversial win, it hardly can as satisfiying as winning by ko or on points, there was alot of money on the table and lewis didnt want it, he knew he stood a good chance of losing a rematch, otherwise he would have taken the money and fought a rematch

I know brutha, I just mean if it had been opposite scores no one would moan really. I think it was a fine stoppage, Vitali had a risk of eye damage and it isn't worth it just for a win.

Not prime, but far from shot.

This has to be one of the most ignorant answers I've ever read. So I guess every fighter in history who was cut by a punch, and was winning didn't officially lose to you lol...

What was the controversey HH? A punch caused the cut. Lennox was already rich. He didn't need the money. He stopped a younger fighter on top of his game. What better way is there to go out? HH, I am a big Vitali fan. I never liked Wlad's style, but I always loved Vitali's style. He just lost to a better man. I wanted to see a rematch, but from Lennox's view, he didn't need to rematch Vitali. Wlad didn't rematch Sanders, and we all wanted to see the rematch.

Exactly. Lewis was 37 and heaviest of his career at 256 and a half pounds. That speaks for itself. If Vitali couldn't beat an old Lewis, that shows you the difference between the two fighters. I'm curious how many Vitali fans will say Vitali is in his prime now that he is the same age as Lewis was then?

You're the only one I've ever seen use that pathetic excuse. Vitali's lip was hanging off too. Was that the result of a head butt also?
