Is #2 Too High a Spot for Calzaghe on the P4P List?

The only 2 ways Calzaghe loses his rank is if he is beaten bad by Jones, which then he'll probly be out of the top 5 then. Or even if he wins, If Marquez can win impressively then he might have a shot at number 2. They'll more than likely bump Hopkins to Number 2 if he can win before they move Pavlik to number 4 with a win

I tend to agree with danc1984 again here. He's a smart guy, but I'll try to make you understand. Joel Casamayor is not a highly ranked P4P boxer, he was losing to fellow non P4P boxer Michael Katsidis in his last fight, before he found the KO. Marquez, as a P4P boxer is expected to beat him handily, ergo no jump up above Calzaghe for beating him. Calzaghe was already one place behind Pacman when he beat P4P #4-6 Hopkins and did not go above Pac.

Pavlik is currently the P4P #6 or so, this is already a generous ranking considering his limited no. of top class wins. If he beats Hopkins it will be a very good win, and enough to make him go up a place or two, but Hopkins is lower now than he was when he fought Calzaghe and holds no title, thus beating him does not justify a massive jump up above the guy who beat him first.

all i see here is just people giving cowards to much respect. you dont deserve to be called one of the best fighters in the world when your afraid to fight the best. calzage is a coward. i am not impressed by his resume. he needs to step up. he should have fought roy jones 5 years ago. now the fight is worthless. and of course he ducks a real challenge in his prime like pavlik. i have no respect for a coward.

Yes Marquez is supposed to beat Casa but he is still moving up in weight and adding a ring title to his rep, and its still arguable if he should be #1, many think he beat pacman. adding this victory/ring title should solidify him @2.

i think its fair if pavlik wins 8+ rounds or ko/tko its fair for him to pass bernard and joe in p4p. hopkins only moved down to #4 so it wasnt a big drop. pavlik is limited of course, but so is margarito and hes still in p4p for his win over cotto.

He will be #1 after Pac gets KTFO.

Vazquez, good resume, but split a trilogy with an undersized bantamweight. Not sure that outweighs Kessler and Hopkins.
Margarito, I mean, really... are you ****ing kidding me? Loss to Williams fairly recently, and KO'ing Cotto. Cong****, that is one good win to stack up against fairly recent losses against Williams and Santos. I'll take Joey Cal over him.
Pavlik, . Seriously? Taylor and Taylor... you mean that guy who has had like a million controversial decisions and has not looked good once on the top level of the sport? You must be joking.

I don't even ****ing like Joe Calzaghe, and his fans make me borderline hate him, but... really, I don't think there is anyone else in boxing that can make an argument that he is anything other than #2. The idiots who say he is #1 over Pacquiao are even worse than the people who say he is lower than #3.
This post is still dominating FTW.
