I think he watched some tapes and he had a game plan...lots of fighters plan to hold back and let the other guys tire them selves out. Hold there hands up high and not let the other guy catch them and get lucky. The announcers kept on saying that Barrios was outboxing Juarez and I was getting annoyed. Barrios was throwing wild punches and started getting winded after the 7th round. By the 10th round he was dead tired and Juarez took advantage of it. During the first 6 rounds or so Juarez knew he had a bigger dangerous opponent in front him that wanted too and openly said he was going to KO Juarez. I think Rocky played it smart and when he had the opportunity he finished the guy off. If he moves to that division he may be the bigger puncher and could get more ample to let his hands go earlier.....Lefty

If Jorge Barrios is outboxing you, then Chris John probably isn't the right avenue to travel.

john is a bad style match up for rocky... juarez should only fight limited come forward type fighters.

            juarez/valero isn't a bad fight.

Valero has vacated and moved up though.

Cook is by far the weakest titleholder in the 130 division so i guess it makes sense, but Rocky would have to become a mandatory challanger and take a smaller cut to get that fight. No way Warren puts Cook in with a half decent fighter unless his hand is forced.

Rocky said that he was surprised that Barrios came out trying to box..

I don't get what people saw on TV, but at ringside it was obvious that Rocky was landing the harder punches in the first five rounds. I guess that the cameras dont pick up the sweat that flies when a stiff punch lands.

Barrios was throwing alot, but missing alot too. At one point in the 3rd round it looked like Barrios was hitting the mitts, Rocky was catching all the punches with his palms..

Cook is more winnable than any of his other fights at 130 in the past, but he's been much more effective at 126. Whatever he does, he finally got an important win again, so he better follow up strong.
