      Patterson destroyed by Sonny Liston.

Patterson years later against George Chuvalo.

Comparing fighters who were blown out like Khan and managed to win titles:

        Julio Diaz

        Terry Norris

John Ruiz - I'm not saying he has a bad chin but he was blown out like Khan

        Roger Mayweather

        ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Khan has shown to have a shaky chin but saturday was a shock, not only by the way he was ko'd, but why the hell did he stand infront of a guy who has a 90% ko ratio. I think he was trying to prove too much and ended up paying bigtime, oh well.

True, we'll just have to wait and see.

            Another thing

The first Kd was pretty scary, it reminded me of Johnny Owen going down against Lupe Pintor.

Glad he didn't suffer any serious injury.

Some other examples are John Ruiz and Michael Moorer, who were both KO'd within a round by David Tua yet had pretty good careers.

Perhaps Moorer shouldn't be included, as his career didn't go particularly well once his chin was exposed.

Wlad, Haye, Norris, Hearns (an ATG) all had shaky chins but won't more than one titles. Hearns chin was bad per say but it was the thing that let him down.

Lennox Lewis' Chin isn't exactly granite either. He had a weak chin but his skills and power made him the undisputed hw champ.

I dont think so if youve got a glass chin, but if youve got a weak chin and a great defense you probably could. Then again, depends how hard the other guy hits.
