There's a difference between one-punch power and cumulative punishment. Acelino Freitas and Julio Diaz didn't stay on their stools because they were out of breath.

Yep imagine if he moves like pacquiao(also a volume puncher) he could be unbeatable.

Pacquiao has more speed on his side, in his hands, body and foot movement.

I don't think any fighter is unbeatable. styles, fights, etc.

What are u talking about? Shields is a GREAT trainer. Some fighters have different physiques than others. Miranda was ripped at 60 n 68 thats just his body type look Pavlik at 60 and 68 his physique is the same in both classes he's just loose muscled. Physiques don't always tell the whole story of a fighter.

He is way too pudgy at 135. I don't wanna hear none of that is baby fat bs. The kid is too small to be coming in at 135 and still be pudgy.

So my summary for recommendation for Diaz would be... loose the trainer get a new one that is going to teach him how to actually come forward and be effective, cause some chaos, teach him better balance and foot work so that when get gets in on the inside he is actually in a comfortable position and not on his heels.

If Diaz doesn't change anything what makes him think he is going to be any better than the guy that lost to Campbell. Diaz should get in contact with Jesus's Chavez trainer... they would match really good.
I kind of agree, Diaz could have knocked him out if not knocked him down after those mid-rounds, but he just got less effective later in the fight. Now the reason may be because of Mike Katsidis. I mean Mike is a top-tier guy.

But I think Diaz' work on the inside and his Jab were perfect, just like always. It's just after those mid-rounds he couldn't put as many punches on Katsidis. Again, I think that was because of Katsidis. Mike was leanin on Juan, comin in with his head, goin to the body in those later rounds, I think all that just got Diaz a little fatigued in the later rounds. I mean Mike started boxing and stop tryin to brawl and he was havin success, then came the 12th and he started comin in head first again and Diaz just ripped him up again.

But Diaz doesn't need a new corner, he's got a good corner. A GREAT corner. A PHENOMAL corner. You see how Ronnie Shields said in the last round, "I wan't you to box, it's lookin slippery in the middle of the ring, I don't want you to slip into a big punch."

And what happens? lol Juan slips like 2 or 3 times in the middle of the ring.

Diaz doesn't need a new trainer, they know when to tell Diaz to use that incredible Jab and when to tell Diaz to open up an ass-whoopin of combonations.

Diaz doesn't need a new trainer, Katsidis needs a new god damn trainer! The worst trainer in the sport today, hands down!

I just hope he can come back. We need guys like Katsidis. He will always deliver a good, exciting fight, no matter what's happening. I was really bummed. He could have easily won the Casa fight and he had a good chance against Diaz but his corner just has no clue whatsoever, at all, in any way. He shouldn't even be allowed near any boxing gym.

He looked fine to me, threw very good combinations, showed good footwork, a tight guard and showed an excellent jab which I hadn't seen before, it nullified almost everything Katsidis wanted to do.

Just because he doesn't have a 6 pack and a ripped physique doesn't mean he isn't in good condition, he has very good stamina.

And he doesn't need to change trainers, Ronnie Shields is a very good trainer and gives him good advice in the corner, it's Katsidis that needs a new trainer.

He looked invincible again after last night. Campbell is his kryptonite tho.
