Ottke has accomplished a lot. I am talking about being proven. Your true class is shown when you fight elite fighters. Kessler was clearly outboxed by Calzaghe. Pavlik beat Taylor twice and now is fighting Hopkins if he KO Hopkins no doubt Calzaghe-Pavlik should happen

I'm 100% certain he is, and given that I regularly agree with your opinions I am surprised you doubt it. Kessler looks to be a tremendous fighter. He has beaten a lot of solid fighters very impressively.

Having said that, in his one fight against a top class guy he fell short. Aside from that fight his best opponent has been Anthony Mundine. Pavlik, on the other hand, has twice beaten Jermain Taylor, a man universally recognised to pose much more of a threat than anyone Kessler has on his resume.

Kessler may well be a better fighter than Pavlik, and that point is certainly defendable, but in terms of which fighter is more proven I really cannot see any other answer but Pavlik on the back of beating Taylor twice.

Good points,I might be overating Kessler a bit and underating the Jermain Taylor wins

No hes wrong, good things come to those who wait only works with ketchup.

Hes shaken up because the supposed best fighter in his class is avoiding Pavlik and knows Jones is a real threat.

Yeah. Look its not that I think Kelly is a completely proven MW champ, he isn't. It simply comes down to the fact that he has been in there against a top fighter and proven that he can win. As I said, Kessler has shown a lot to this point in his career but this is one thing that as of yet he has been unable to achieve.

Pav does not deserve a fight with Cal even if Cal were in his prime. Pav has not even faced Abraham, and by no means has he proven to be the best middleweight yet.

Kessler has proven he can win also. If you have ever laced them up, winning a title is a very hard thing to do. You are more than likely facing the very best, or a good fighter for the title. Kessler and Pav are proven, but have a lot more proving to do.

One guy faced Calzaghe, the other faced Taylor. Both are proven. One guy won his title when he got his shot, the other already had a title and went up against the very best and lost.

joe calzaghe is a born fighter. but he is afraid of "the ghost".

certainly, he can't win against "the ghost". so why take the risk when you have an easy fight in jones?
