Calzage's been champ for over a decade! I don't care how many people you 'slap' and how many fanboys get on your back, that takes some doing. So I'm inclined to agree with Calzaghe here. I'd love to see Pavlik fight Kessler - see how that one goes then if he comes through it I'll jump on the bandwagon for a Pavlik-Calzaghe showdown. But so far, this really is a deja-vu of Jeff 'the new Mike Tyson' Lacy.

silly hes no longer undefeated and calzaghe is, its not the best matchup in boxing. young titlist ok then pavlik should fight Erdei and Garay too...lol

Does Calzaghe annoy the hell out of anyone else? Why would he have wanted Kelly Pavlik 3 years ago? Also comparing Pavlik to Lacy is completely ******. Lacy is a flawed fighter and hadn't beaten ANYONE before fighting Calzaghe. Also he seems pretty sure RJJ will be an easy fight. I think he's underestimating Roy's power. Let's remember he got knocked down by Bernard at light heavy. Roy has more power and better hand speed. I'm not saying Roy will win, but I think underestimating him is a big mistake. Calzaghe is very talented and without a doubt one of the top fighters in the world but I hope to god someone knocks his ass out before he runs back to Wales for good, he's getting to be as ****y as PBF.

Whichever way you spin it I think Pavlik is the more proven of the two as he has been in there with a top guy in Taylor and won. Mikkel is yet to do this.

But don't you think thats more to do with Kessler being Danish and Taylor being HBO goldenboy, given fights on a plate thus you see Taylor as a better scalp for Pavilk.

In my estimation, Kessler would easily beat Taylor, and if that is truly the case thats all you need to know as far as who has beat the better opponent.

Saying all that I think he should fight him and think Pavlik deserves a shot, but lets be honest you guys would have Calzaghe fightin until he's 40, and you'd give Pavlik credit for beating Joe at 37 wheareas if Calz beats Roy Jones, oh no its not worth anything, he's over the hill and not worth a damn.

This article makes no sense, Pavlik has beaten alot of quality opponents. He doesn't just have one good win and thats taylor... And if the fights so ****ing easy like the article claims why is my friend Calzaghe trying to not take a fight everyone wants him to take. These are all quality wins from a middle weight.

Jermain Taylor, Edision Miranda, Jose Luis Zertuche, Bronco McKart, Fulgencio Zuniga, and Hopkins is probably going to be added to that list.
