Its a pick'em fight for mine. In their prime both were tremendous at 168.

Toney never had much power but has plenty of skill just like Joe, so that doesn't make sense.

Both are so adaptable and highly skilled that it is pretty much an impossible fight to predict. If I was really pushed I might go Joe MD/SD based on his incredible workrate but then prime Toney was no slouch in that regard either so we are back at the start.

I say James Toney has more power than Joe Calzaghe.

It is a tough fight to pick.
I'd say Toney would really punish him by the mistakes Joe makes
and then Joe's workrate which is none stop pressure..
I dont know if pushed would say Joe on a close close fight

It's a close fight, But I think Toney with his defensive skills and great counter punching would take it. But, Calzaghes speed and workrate could make it go the other way, it's a fight I would have loved to see

lol fair enough, i think joe's work rate would give him an edge but feel that he would probably suffer a KD and lose because of that...close damn fight though.

If both were at their best, and Joe fought cautiously, he would probably win a decision over Toney.

But Toney would certainly have a chance of winning.
