So what are you saying, that because he fought only white fighters none of them could be great? This, even though many of them were and are thought of as historicaly great fighters. Is that it?

Gum dumb. Think about what you just said. Think about Ali not fighting Chuvalo, Quarry, Cooper, and every last caucasian fighter. Erase them from his resume. Would you call Ali the greatest? I wouldn't. I mean damn man, what are you dense? You already contradicted yourself lol. You got owned lol.

That doesn't mean when you break it down it turns out to be a walk in the park. If I gave the wrong impression, I guess I'll just have to bite the bullet here. Lol, but I know what I meant, and your definitions are not it, my man.

You mention in one post that being a mismatch doesn't make it a walk in the park and in the other you say it may be a mismatch but when you break it down it could turn into a walk in the park.To me this doesn't make sense.

Lmao!! What a crock of ****! Without those names Ali is still great and everyone knows it. Its obvious you refuse to consider white fighters great. But with names like Levinski, Dempsey, Loughran, Gibbons, Greb, Carpentier and Delaney, Tunneys legacy is secure. He didn't fight black fighters and that is a travesty. It cannot however detract from the great fighters he did fight, regardless of color.

Obviously I chose my words poorly. I stand by my assertion that this fight, in a historic sense is a mismatch. If you break it down though, its irrelevant since neither side can prove who would win. What can be proved is who has had the better career. Either way though I'll man up and admit I contradicted myself, whether I meant to or not. My bad.

A sloppy and over anxious Haye punches himself out and falls prey to stiff counter punches from Thompson who has a shorter reach than Tunney and is close in weight.

A bobing and weaving Dempsey can't find the crafty Tunney with his fast power shots while eating speedy combos and counters in return.

At this stage, I simply don't see Haye pulling it off. Haye certainly isn't a Dempsey in any shape or form; taller and a little heavier with equal reach but completely inferior in every other way. He's strong and quick(though not on Dempsey's level) but he's also very crude with suspect stamina and defense.

                  Nice breakdown. Agreed.

haye would easily dispose of him

tunney wasnt thats great and quite overrated IMO

as boof said, he drew the colour line so that really damages his credibility as a man and especially as a fighter

ok i was joking about Haye winning cos he was black i was hoping to annoy tunney but it didn’t work lol, To be honest i haven’t seen enough of Tunney to make a proper prediction on this fight.
