A sloppy and over anxious Haye punches himself out and falls prey to stiff counter punches from Thompson who has a shorter reach than Tunney and is close in weight.

A bobing and weaving Dempsey can't find the crafty Tunney with his fast power shots while eating speedy combos and counters in return.

At this stage, I simply don't see Haye pulling it off. Haye certainly isn't a Dempsey in any shape or form; taller and a little heavier with equal reach but completely inferior in every other way. He's strong and quick(though not on Dempsey's level) but he's also very crude with suspect stamina and defense.
Great analysis. You pick the Haye that ran out of gas and lost, and compared it to the Tunney who beat an old Dempsey..brilliant lol. What about the Haye that fought Mccarenelli against the lightheavy weight Tunney who lost to Greb at middleweight...

It cannot however detract from the great fighters he did fight, regardless of color.
This may be the worst post I ever read on any forum. Who are the black fighters that he faced? If Ali didn't fight any caucasian fighters, people would be saying the same thing about Ali. Why do you think tunney is so low on the 80 greatest boxers list if he was so great. He drew the color line. You just don't get it...and you never will. This post is about as phony and fake as it comes.

If you break it down though, its irrelevant since neither side can prove who would win. What can be proved is who has had the better career. Either way though I'll man up and admit I contradicted myself, whether I meant to or not. My bad.
Just close your mouth. You've lost credibility on the issue.

Thank you. All he had to do was clear the board, and enter his opinion. He won't grow up. He'd rather stay angry at me day and night like a give a !@$#!#. Reps in Congress catch each other in contradictions all the time, and get ovet it in the next breath. He simply won't let it go because he thinks he lost to me or something when I could care less.

People will always hold that fight against Haye. Forgetting he was very Green (It was his 10th or 11th fight) fighting a Hard Hitting, Vetran in Carl Thompson. Carl was known to get beaten from pillar-to-post and come back (Infact he did that in his fight before he fought Haye!) but still, people hold it against him.

Exactly. When comparing fighters, why don't fan compare both fighters at their best, and then talk about their flaws in how they lost after. That always boggled my mind lol.
