Pacquiao, the WBC lightweight champion, will move up by two weight divisions to the agreed upon fight weight of 147. De La Hoya has not made 147 since 2001. There is a clause in the fight contract that would cost De La Hoya a lot of money for not being able to make weight for the fight, $3 million dollars for every pound above 147, or a fraction above the weight. when did roach become pacquiao's boss?

              Oscar @ 150

              3 x 3 = 9 million dollars

Pac agrees to fight = +16 million

              9 + 16 = 25M

              Pac gets TKOed in 5.

              5 million dollars per round!

exactly. even if oscar came in at 160, I doubt pacquiao cancel's the fight. and the key word here is PACQUIAO not roach. pacman decides everything.

I don't see how making your naturally much larger opponent come in on weight is being a *****.

Oscar WILL NOT make 147. He will come in at 149. This is where it gets interesting. I think even 149 may drain Oscar come fight night but we'll see. But one this is for certain, there is no way Oscar makes 147 and if he does by a miracle, he will be way to depleted in energy if the fight goes past 7.

Oscar will go for broke very early and try to knock out the much more energetic Pacquiao quickly. If he fails, Oscar is in trouble.
