For a guy who was once 130 lbs, it only takes physical inactivity in co-ordination with a properly balanced diet. Over time the muscles will shrink, and with gym work the fat will melt. It just takes time and dedicated effort. And turn away from the filet mignon with all the trimmings.....Don't forget he was 150 a few months ago, and went the full 12 rds, was able to keep up with the speedy Forbes, and won every round.I feel he'll come in under 147, and boast about it.

This was all he knew of course, but the REAL answer is ....MONEY. He had to make a living and he wasn't qualified for anything else.

It was the luckiest day of his life when he began to train Manny, because Manny has made him a substantial millionaire, and, not only that, Manny has, by his successes, brought The Roach into the rarified atmosphere of the "super=trainers", although it seems to me, that his fighters are always being beaten, some of them pretty badly. I'm not certain about this because I haven't been keeping count, and am prepared to be politely corrected, but it seems to me that he's been more often "unlucky" with his fighters than the other way.

I truly believe that it was Manny who made HIM, not the other way around.
Wow! It seems as though your letter is discrediting one of the best trainers in the sport!
I guess you would rather have Enzo Calzaghe in your corner right?.......you just gave me an idea!.......

Beat me to it. Then I realised it was a Dios post, which unfortunately is only designed to get peoples backs up.

Shame really, cos sometimes he talks real sense. It's unfortunate he has to act like this.

          Oscar is in trouble...

He has bitten off more than he can chew on this one... Manny is all wrong for him: small southpaw, with speed and movement. Oscar looked like a pedestrian when he fought Forbes. Pacman split decision.....

            9 + 16 = 25M

            Pac gets TKOed in 5.

            5 million dollars per round!

                ****** Roach

F**k you roach! You guys wanted the big pay day and what you and Manny did was just woken up the beast in DLH. You know that you are not going to get as big a payday with any other fighter, you wanted the fight with DLH, you called him out, you know he is a bigger fighter naturally. You're just like those little kids that annoy, annoy and annoy until you get you ass kicked. If you were to concerned with the weight issue, why take the fight in the first place. You're ****** contract stipulations are ******, again, why take the fight with a fighter that YOU KNOW IS NATURALLY BIGGER. Oh I forgot, you want to get paid. If DLH wants to be 5 pounds over the day of the fight, that's to his advantage, a fighter has to do what he has to do in order to win. Nobody said that the big payday was going to be easy, stop crying or just go on ahead and walk away from the fight you ungreatful son-of-a-*****!!

I don't think DLH would have much trouble figuring out how to fight pacquiao. Pacquiao is a one dimesnional fighter who comes straight forward and throws his left hand all night long. De la Hoya has fought stronger, faster, and craftier fighters than pacquiao. IMO De la Hoya will struggle a little to make the weight, but won't be drained like many think he will. The fact that he has been active and in fighting shape will help a lot.

Whoever you are you're totally ignorant. Oscar will win whether he comes in at 147 or not I'll grant you that. On the other hand, how are you going to call somebody ****** that made the contract stipulations that your little buddy Oscar agreed to? Oscar agreed to those stipulations! If somebody's ****** here it's Oscar for agreeing to those "****** contract stipulations." Oh by the way, it sounds really educated to say "You're (it should by YOUR) ****** contract stipulations are ******." Are you too ****** to realize that you were so ****** that your ****** ass said ****** a few too many times ******? That's just ******.
