Pavlik hasn't really responded or said much, just a maybe in the future really. The only time Pavlik's really talked and it's with Calzaghe, whom is 2 weights above, has said he's fighting Jones now then retiring.

Steve Collins was desperate for a fight with Jones, Nigel Benn, countless others infact mentioned in a thread recently.

I don't really want to get into this though, it's another topic and always spirals.

Your often gona want a boxer to face another guy, it's inevitable.

Ultimately you can't grudge someone finally earning a good buck for a long career beating whomever was put in front of him often in the top 10 of the division, not jumping through hoops beating a guy he and most know he would as he's done so to a better version in Kessler (whom is in the waiting) and retiring as planned at 36.

Pavlik has spoken in many interviews saying he wants Abraham as soon as possble.Him and Arum have both expressed intrest in the fight. You fail to grasp the time Pavlik has to create these mega fights that everyone wants to see.In no way has Pavlik ducked either of those fighters and to say otherwise would be foolish as both of those opponents have to deal with their own ABC politics.I have never said Calzaghe ducked Pavlik in a serious tone and in my opinion to suggest that is also foolish.

Jones resume speaks for itself.Any fghter he was suppose to fight, there would of been another to take his place if he fought them. The same thing applies to Calzaghe.

Pavlik is a slugger... very tough kid, but does not belong in the ring with an elite fighter of Calzaghe's caliber

      watch Hopkins upsets him!

But shall Pavlik win.. Joe has to finish his career with Pavlik.. after that, there are no more fights for him.. Rest In Peace

This is utter ****e. Benn, Collins, Eubank, McClellan, Watson, Dariusz M etc were leagues above anyone who Jones fought between Toney and Tarver.

If he would of fought Benn they would of said Eubank would of beat him,if he would of fought Eubank,Benn would be the "destroyer".Mcclelean and Jones were best friends so I don't think that fight would of happened.I do think he should of fought Dariusz, but once again another name would of took his place.

Jones should use the Calzaghe logic and say "I beat Toney and he is better than all of them"

I think you are being a little harsh on some of Roy's opponents during this period. Several of them were pretty damn good fighters.

It is important for everyone to realise that when you have had great careers like Roy and Joe have ppl will always be looking around to find ppl you should have but didn't fight. Its just the nature of the game.

Yeah. Not to have a go at Dirk as we have had several battles in the past and I have no intention of commencing another but sometimes I think he just sees the British side of the argument and that is all he will consider.

I think a few Brits are guilty of that, Please let me know if I ever come accross that way...

Hmmm, I think nationalism as a whole is natural and there's ones over the top from all countries. But yes it's certainly something to at least try and keep in check.

No doubt, Every country has patriotic characters. Personally I like to take nationality out of it, but sometimes may be drawn into an argument where I come across otherwise.
