    Calzaghe: I'm 100% retiring

    Some interesting video interviews, highlights include;

    We offered Pavlik in 2006 and I think after his MW win and he turned us down.

    I wanted RJJ 6 years ago.

    RJJ admitted to me he didn't want to fight me.

    I'm 100% retiring after RJJ.

    Thoughts?

    Joe Calzaghe has done nothing but duck and duck to keep his undefeated record. All of these statements are fallacys. All of America knows he is a joke, this is all that matters.

      I can't take anything he says seriously.He is a great fighter but the mic should never be put in front of Joe's or his fathers mouth.

            Joe is 35/36 i hope he fights once more after RJJ before he retires, I just hope he had put much stock into coming to america earlier in his career than when he actually did earlier this year.

              very nice.

              Calzaghe embarrasses Pavlik so much he'll have to relocate to a mud hut in Sri Lanka and raise goats. You should be happy that **** will never happen.

                If he actually does retire after Roy, then I will be dissapointed. I think there is something left for him, kind of like Mayweather (Sorry to bring him up), impresive acheivments but retiring at the top with people left to fight. It leaves a sour taste,

                But Joe has been a champion, and a fighter for a long time and has suffered hand injuries throughout most of it.

                  Pavlik would lose to Joe in a lopsided decision.Don't mind Mizzou he is bit slow.

                    Some predictable comments, some more insightful. I wish Joe woulda ventured to the states earlier, but going by what happened he fought the best Americans that were in the division, Brewer, Mitchell, Lacy and others all in the top ten at the time. May not be the absolute best all round but this whole expectancy of jumping through hoops in America is so out dated and un-realistic it's unreal.

                    A good few in America just didn't know that much of him before Lacy because of the networks and general ignorance, so think he has pretty much only a few years of meaningful ness in his career and late on, wrong. You just started taking significant notice late on and are pissed it's so late that some other elites are older and he's now close to retiring as planned, and unlikely to lose to the new latest american whom will win this time.

                    Joe hasn't actually ducked anyone contrary to some beliefs, unlike a lot of other elites even Jones and Pavlik, whom genuinely have ducked. Calzaghe's never turned down any fight, is 36 and breaks his ****ing hands in most fights, and hardly talks way more **** than the average boxer of today. Give the guy a break and keep things in context.
