You are somebody who really puts it all together why the hate on Margarito is so big right now. First of all... human beings are human beings... and usually if someone gets hated by others they will hate back... and that's exactly what's happening right now... and that's why so many folks out there simply laugh at you Margarito-die-hard-fans... because you simply can't be objective...

Everything that you wrote down (and it is very true in many aspects) about everything you can also say about Floyd-Margarito as he started to call him out... Paul Williams right now has as much as a name as Margarito had back then... then he was hyped up because Floyd turned down 8 Mil (bogus figure) to fight him... you have no problem with Margarito fighting the big names??? Floyd also had no problem with it... who had Margarito fought before Cotto... Williams (will still have to wait and see what he is)... Cintron (he is tall and can punch... that's all... has no mental make up to beat anybody of any merrit)... Clottey (can still develop but will never become a great one probably)... about a million posters tried to explain to you why it doesn't makes business sense... and you came up with oh yes... money... what's about legacy... he is a *****... so what is Margarito now??? I personally can understand what he is doing... but to your die-hard-margarito-fans what is he now??? Sounds like pretty much the same... you dudes should really stop calling other fighters cowards etc. Floyd was not even beat... your guy was beat by Williams... by Santos... and they are now there and willing to fight him again... of course it's not that much money (like DLH) but is your fighter about money (*****, coward) or is he a warrior and cares about his legacy??? What is it now??? I mean he gets 4 Mil for P-Will (who he beat the first time *lol*) I mean where is the problem... DLH is more money... but who else brings 4 Mil to the table??? Mosley??? Very good post. I couldn't stand floyds chery picking, and now i'm getting disapointed at Margo. However in margs defence, Clotey is not an easy fight by any means (I actually favor him).

i will admit that williams won the first fight but he basically slapped boxed his way to victory without any big punches landed... Margarito landed all the big shots and he partial blocked quite a few punches... I do remember williams running and holding alot at the end as well... but is everyone forgetting that Williams got embarrased by a 5'6 Quintanna in his next fight... i think Williams is setting himself up for a falll by running his mouth and knockiing out a 5'6 quintanna in the rematch is hardly saying anything about his power or ability...williams is a slap boxer plain and simple and no one wants to see those guys fight...

Williams Vs Margarito

I've just refreshed myself with the first fight and I've gotta aggree with a few posters like Voneric on here - Williams did win the fight but not by much. And he definitely didn't do any damage - He was flicking his punches all night, and running and holding more and more as the fight went on leading to boo's from the crowd. Margarito had him sussed by the end of the fight and shook him a couple of times, but he was just too far behind to win by anything but knockout. I think if the two met again, Margarito would try to damage Williams from the start rather than waiting for him to tire and we might see a different outcome. But whether he wants the fight is a different issue. If Margarito doesn't pine for a rematch at some point, there's always gonna be that air of doubt over his legacy.

Everyone is going to be hard on Margs and Pwill because they are the two best in the WW division. Williams is going to fight 2 times before the year is out, so this gimme can't be knocked. The question is who will step up to fight him in November on his HBO date? He only fought Quintana because Margs tried to force the rematch thru the Sanctioning body, so he could get more money, instead of taking the short money like Williams did the first time. Cintron bitched out of the Pwill fight, and decided to fight Margs because Williams had just beat Margs and he thought that Margs was vulnerable. Neither Shane or Floyd wanted the fight. Big risk, low-to-no reward. So the question is, what WW fighter wants a title shot at the beginning of 2009. Williams HAS to fight his mandatory or drop the belt to fight a bigger name. He will probably dispatch of these two guys and look to make a big fight in January or February. Will there be any takers? Margs will be free by then. Hopefully Williams PUNISHES both Kolle and Jennings by vicious KO. And Margs beats Clottey convincingly. But we still have to factor in Cotto, Shane Mosley, Ricardo Mayorga, Oscar or Pac, and Collazo into how the next set of major and competitive WW fights will play out.

I just dont like to hear all this talk when he was just outclassed earlier this year. Not just beaten, but decisevly beaten up. Sure he came back the best way you can, but that doesnt erase history. If anything the first round KO was kind of bad (if that's possible) because we didnt get to see him adapt for the whole fight.

A one round KO over the guy that beat you erases the **** of a 12 UD loss.

I bet if Tony KO'd Williams in ONE round in the rematch you be singing a different tune.
