all the talk, and all the hype, he picks a ward opponet

the reason williams is getting alot of **** is because he is acting like no one wants to fight him and as if he's looking for a tough fight but then magaicly picks a ward opponet, ward is one of the most protected fighters in boxing -though he is just starting to step it up, but protected.

He's fighting again in November. This is a good thing. I'd much rather see fighters stay busy than sit around and wait for a better fight. Looking at this guys record and watching some clips, he might be able to put up a good fight. Remember he's a natural Middelweight. 6'1 Southpaw too.

I'm actually surprised they'd risk such a fight. It's not liek Williams is an established Middleweight.

Actually Williams picked Margarito first. But Margarito let his Daddy Arum turn down the fight.

I am sure that is a big part of the issue.
Also, who wants to fight him at 147? Honestly put yourself in the shoes of any fighter in that weight class, Margarito, Cotto, Cintron, Clottey and now Berto all have good reason to avoid him.
At 160? No longer a physical abnormality, I am sure many people will be willing to fight him. Not really a bad move, if he thinks he can take people at 160.
I was actually thinking he could probably clean up at 154, and those guys would be a little less likely to avoid him.

Why not go to 154? He could win a title quite easily, I'd imagine. He'd certainly be the favourite against Phillips.
my thoughts exactly....maybe he might just stay at 160 and start lookin' at the Arthur Abrahams and Kelly Pavliks, because it seems like the Margaritos and Cottos aren't eager to fight him!

Going up to 160 and then back down to 147 by November is really going to test his body. No wonder they picked Kolle.
