I agree move to junior middle and get a big money fight test the waters at 154 I agree that he would beat phillips, but in my opinion he is risking everything by going up to 160, his marketability everything if he loses, his drawing and bargaining power will be effected, I think his trainer is also working as his manager and in my opinion that guy should stick to training that's where the problems come in when these trainers try to wear too many hats and not sticking to what they do best.

I also think paul is buying too much into this throwback fighter title which will ultimately cost him big time, too often we see these fighters get caught up in there own hype and begin to believe that they are better than they really are based on all the hype, make the wrong decisions based on that and then lose everything, miranda being a good example and if he goes that far up all the welters will say they are not fighting a MW, that will give them even more valid reasons to avoid him, if he thinks he has problems now getting a fights at welter just wait, if you are watching this paul fire your trainer as manager and get a real experienced manager who knows what they are doing!

Why move up to 160 ????

there are much better fights at 147.

Paul is just trying to stay active and get a check in the interim. The fight is in 3 weeks, so we know he hasn't been training long thus the 160. If he punishes the dude, then everyone will be scared to death of him. If he loses, he still has the belt and he might be able to actually get a fight then. Either way, I guess the dollars are worth it.

This is a good move. Margsdodged the fight, it's a stay busy fight. He has opened all of his options from 147 to 160. I see guys saying, Andy who? lol. Shows how weak your boxing knowledge is.

Lets not forget that Paul has a Nov 22 date on HBO already to defend his WW belt. If Collazo is the only one to step up, then he will get his chance unless Mayorga whoops Shane like I think he might. PWill is just staying busy, getting his name out there and auditioning for Versus.

Who the hell is Andy Kolle? Who is the 1 loss to? Is he ranked by anyone? Just a showcase fight for Williams. Lets see how Williams' power is at 160. If he slumps him like he did Quintana, then Pwill might as well stay up there cause the WW will be scared to death of him.

I really dislike when peaple over exaggerate williams the man is 6'2 with an 83' reach longer than Ali. He s hould be fighting at 160-175... You really think the natrual welterweights are gonna go up that high?..
