if you can take a look at the calzage/kessler fight. between rounds kessler looks confused and his corner is quiet , no talking. kessler just sitting there looking worried. no advise. its pathetic.round after round. no talking.
I agree. It is however unlikely. Kessler has said that Olsen will remain his trainer for his entire career, and Olsen himself has said that he's the greatest trainer in the world (true story.

Kessler however did add american Jimmy Montoya as a second trainer before his latest fight against Sartison.

That's untrue. He has had negotiation with both Kelly Pavlik and RJJ before settling for Sartison.

But since you posted such a bombastic statement you are likely to produce some facts to back it up??

Yeh your right there. They spoke in English for a good few rounds, said little, especially of particular use or encouragement. Then when they switched to Danish, what they were saying was so simplistic, stuff like keep going, keep the pressure, don't back down. Great help that. No wonder he's slightly lacking in tactical ability.

I think Kesslers career and even he as a fighter would do well out of a total change to his environment, trainer, training and management. Will never happen, but perhaps he's kept stable and good as he is which is something, and not a step backwards like many have taken.

In short Mogens Palle is getting old. I think he's losing it.

He should have taken the Miranda fight. It would have been perfect for gaining US exposure.
You absolutely right. Stated this my self before. After a lose, the Miranda fight was a gift sent from heaven. Kessler wanted to fight in US for years and after the lost, he gained more respect and fans all over the boxing-world and the HBO connection was still hot. A win over Miranda, and who couldn't Kessler had called out ???.
Problem: An old manager and an old trainer who don't speak any English to mention and who don't want to go to US, and maybe therefore tries to keep the "Gold" at home ?? At home where the money will be bigger for Teampalle, who is running out of fighters who can sells tickets ??
I wrote to the home sites Teampalle and Mikkelkessler on the subject, but no clear answer from boxer or manager.
Before the announcement of the Sartison-fight, Mogens Palle stated, that they had a "Master plan". Somehow thats seems to include Sartison and then Häussler ??????????.

Thanks for the link. I have seen the story before. A sad one. It's highly recommended to others still.

between Bute and the Taylor-Froch bout (assuming they beat Lacy and Pascal)

I would have to think that one of those above names could be a potential opponents for Kessler in maybe middle to later 2009.

because sure Kessler is a high risk/low reward type opponent

but at the same time, if your Bute, Taylor or Froch .. outside of each other, and especially if you want to unify the division you'll eventually have to face Mikkel Kessler.

I'm hoping he'll fight the winner of Lacy vs. Taylor. In a way, it's better that he's fighting Haussler now instead of Taylor, because it will be more meaningful for Mikkel to fight Taylor when he's coming off a win over Lacy, instead of the two losses to Pavlik.

There's also potential opponents in the winners of Balzsay vs. Inkin, Andrade vs. Bute, and Froch vs. Pascal.

It's a very good time for the super middleweight division, lots of potential exciting matchups!

I hope he jumps in there with Pavlik ASAP. It shoots Kessler up the P4P rankings. And gives Calzaghe an even greater legacy.
