Whilst we're on the subject...well we are...sort of, and seeing that I was born and raised in Ireland, my favourite gargles were "Guinness"...for thirst and conviviality, and both "Tullamore Dew" and "Paddy" for more serious, discoursive evenings.

They both were made in County Cork, where my maternal family came from. I couldn't get them when I arrived here, I tried, and today I'd be afraid to ask anyway, since I'd need a budget like Oscar's to pay for them, and I only have, comparatively speaking, a budget like Manny's.
We can all have fun posting and poking fun at each other. It's all good. Manny's budget is not all that bad.

Actually neither am I. I didn't mean to imply that he was poverty stricken, just "sparse" compared to Oscar.

the hate isnt for manny- manny is the **** and i hope he kicks oscars ass somehow.

but i really truly wish oscar had fought margarito instead. i want oscar to get into a shootout with somebody (he said he wanted that too less than a year ago)- and that cant happen with this fight.

If I was kidding, you'd surely know it-I hope. I don't see anything "kidding" in my query, it's a valid one. They actually look, in the photo, almost the same height, and this has been happening now, for quite some time. So....KNOWING that Manny is short, and Oscar is tall, I looked for a logical explanation. You have suported my su****ion, by agreeing that it's a fake.

Just my inquisitive nature. And, being new, as you say, I say...WELCOME.

Boofie- Flash Elorde was voted, IN THE PHILLKIPPINES, as the most popular SPORTS figure of all time. Their 3 very top heros are Pancho Villa, (but he's from the 1920's so largely igbored now). The other two are Elorde and Manny P.

Flash was the "longest reigning Junior lightweight of all time", even to this day, I think, and was called the "greatest Junior Lightweight Champion in ring history", and was the first Eastern boxer who got into the International Hall of Fame.

Everybody was crazy about him, and since he'd married his trainer's or promoter's daughter, it was a sort of movie picture romantic, idyllic story.

He also became a TV icon advertising a local beer, and his ad was voted the best ever, only very recently.

The thing is, that I was around for all this, and watched every fight he had which was on TV, and he was a real top-notcher, and as brave as a Marine. So what more can I say??

Manny has no shot in hell of winning. He should try to get Hatton after.

Ever since Oscar was winning his fights, most people in the country started to like him as a fighter.

I'd be willing to bet that Manny P is far more of an "idol" in the Phillippines than Oscar de la Hoya, and I'd bet money on THAT. betting money is not something I do lightly)
