I voted both but I'd say Vargas showed more in a more desperate situation. He was nearly out in the 1st rd. Somehow surviving that and many low blows to the 12th where he's desperately holding on for the last 3 minutes. Heck even after he went down for the 3rd time in the 12th, he attempted to get up.

Both of them showed heart, but I think Vargas may have shown just a bit more. Tito was just a beast back in the day, and Vargas was running into a mack truck, plus what most people forget is that Vargas was still very young, I believe 21 when he fought Tito, and his skill level although good was not as polished and tested as Tito's was up to that point.

Yes, Fernando did try to get up after the final knockdown, what a warrior.

On the record I am a Vargas hater...kat just gets on my nerves in the worst ways...I can do with all the trash talk…I dig some good smack …but if you’re gonna mouth off you best back it up… otherwise you just become some loud mouth chump…off the record you gotta respect the fact that he would go in to the ring get his block knocked off and kept coming back for more...many other fighters would have given up…he did it Vs Tito he did it Vs DLH and even with Mosley and Mayorga...that being said I think there is a pattern there...maybe the dude is all heart and mediocre talent...oh yeah and not very smart…but that’s not so much on him as it was on his corner…
