That's fine, but where was your proof that Oscar's speed and reflexes had diminished? Maybe his reflexes were a bit off against Forbes but definitely not against Mayweather.

And it didn't matter if Oscar couldn't KO Forbes. Forbes has an amazing chin and has been fighting around 140 and up for years. Pacquiao just got to 135 6 months ago. AND Pacquiao had been rocked bad by Marquez of all people who doesn't even hit with any power.

All the signs pointed to an Oscar victory, so I still don't buy that anyone truly and honestly thought Pacquiao would win that fight. And if they did, not many were mentioning that they thought Oscar would be shot.

He whooped what looked like either a weight drained or shot De La Hoya who looked nothing like the guy who fought Floyd a year and a half ago.

Your logic is very similar to the good old ' I wasn't myself in there tonight...' excuse from many fighters.

Of course he's not going to look like he did against completely different fighters. This makes no sense.

Did the Patriots look like they did in their previous 16 games against the Giants in last year's Superbowl ?

      Of course not !

And it has more to do with what The Giants did than anything.

People fail to realize simple things like this.

LOL @ you not truly believing anyone truly thought that Pacquiao was going to win that fight.

Do you realize why the betting lines were so close ?

Its because MANY people felt that Manny would win the fight, and put their money where their mouths were. Myself included.

I am giving Pacquiao for winning the fight as easily as he did. I think he's a better fighter than Oscar and should be rated much higher all time, so I think that throws out the Patriots analogy.

I still think Oscar should have won that fight. By giving up his size advantage, he basically gave the fight away. But if his reflexes were gone anyway (other than trying to make weight), then so be it. It would be hard to say unless we saw him fight again at 154.

This fight makes me uncomfortable because I am a huge Pacquiao fan believe it or not. I followed him since he fought on the Lewis-Tyson undercard and picked him to beat Barrera back in 2003. I want to give him all the credit in the world for this, but it's a combination of things that led to the outcome, and one of them is that De La Hoya is either shot or killed his chances with the weight.

And for the record, I absolutely hate the "I wasn't myself tonight" excuse from fighters. But you can't argue that De La Hoya never even looked like he was capable of fighting on Dec 6.

Name one superfight that wasn't close in betting terms. You do realize that most bets come from people who don't even follow boxing, right?

And what did HBO do to promote this fight? Put out a 24/7

I have friends who watch 24/7 and that is all they know about boxing.

24/7 could make a fight between me and Mayweather look competitive. It's called good editing, writing and promoting.

                  $200 on the straight up.

$100 on the 9th round KO...also had good odds...but obviously lost this bet.

                  Didn't matter tho.

                  ..and the big one..

$100 on the 8th round KO...honestly I copy & pasted this bet with my buddy because it had some ridiculous odds, which were 15-1.

                  ^That bet made my trip.

Crazy thing is...I'm not even much of a gambler...believe it or not I didn't so much as put a penny in a slot machine my entire weekend in Vegas.
