    Which Calzaghe would you choose?

Say you have to make a match between Joe Calzaghe and Roy Jones Jr in January of 1995. This is soon after Roy's ultra-impressive win over former champ James Toney and just prior to his brief but startlingly dominant reign as SMW champion.

You can either choose the Calzaghe of today with his intelligence, incredible work rate, speed and great adaptabiliy or the younger, stronger and more powerful Calzaghe of a few years back. Which one would you choose? Which one do you see as having the best chance of beating a prime Roy Jones Jr at SMW?

    Vote and discuss.

    This Joe.

The attacking Joe would run headfirst into Roys arsenal. Todays Joe at least would box so may avoid getting hit as much. Both lose though

Agianst Roy Jones? I'd prob pick the older one against anyone else i'd pick the younger Calzaghe. Regardless Prime Roy beats both.

Young one at least has the chance for the KO, I'd choose him.

I posted this because I really think it is an interesting topic. Initially I was thinking this Joe for sure, but the one thing about all the opponents that have beaten or caused Roy significant trouble is that they needed to have the ability to hurt Roy. THis Joe would not be able to hurt Roy and subsequently I don't think he would have stood any chance. Roy would just have been comfortable enough to do his thing and would have killed him. Thus I would give the Calzaghe in his physical prime more of a chance.

Still cops an almighty whooping though.
