Kellys a real one and Bernard is going to get old .
Hopkins wouldn't take a fight that he didn't think he could handle. Pavlik is not a one punch ko fighter, he has to accumulate punishment to stop you, it ain't anywhere near easy to accumulate punishment on Hopkins, its hard just trying to land one punch. not only that but Pavlik is slow and is predictable. plus the fight being at 170 will dimish pavliks power, Pavlik shouldn't of taken this fight.

The fight takes place at the catch-weight of 170-pounds. [details]
Will HOpkins be able to do what he did to Tito on their fight or will Pavlik bigger frame help him survive and retire the old savy fighter? If Hopkins loses, I hope he retires and Pavlik fights Joe C or Kessler.

Kelly is slap **** in his prime. Bernards skills are deteriorating, he faded badly against Calzaghe, reverted to survival mode, spoiling, play acting, trying to con the ref. I'm a lifelong fan of Hopkins. I thought he nearly beat Calzaghe but his legs deserted him. He ran out of his steam and he stunk the joint out in the last third of the fight. Plus he got hit more than as is typical. He wants it, but his body doesn't. His body would've preferred if he kept his mothers promise and retired at 40.

I think Pavlik will win convincingly.

I see a Pavlik win but not an easy one. Even if Bernard was 60 he'd still be too tricky to get dominated by anybody. If Pavlik is takin this fight lightly he's makin a dumb mistake.

A lot of people saying that Bernard still has it. But in other threads they say he is an old shot boxer. Have one opinion people!!

This fight will be INCREDIBLE! No doubt about it, Pavlik will give everything, so will Hopkins!

I think Pavlik will take it, but Hopkins is a slick and he won't be easy to take down. He's just too experienced to be caught clean. But Pavlik will keep on trying for all 12 rounds. So it's gonna be groovy!

bhop is not getting dominated. even at 43 i don't see that happening. i see an ugly, close fight thru 8. than i see kelly winning the last 4 rds. it's good that he is taking bhop seriously, therefore i think he can win.

If Bernard has his way, it will just be ugly, not incredible, but I don't think he has the gas to keep Pavlik out of the fight long enough to get a decision in his favor. I think he gasses by 6 or 8, and maybe deliberately gets himself DQ'd to prevent a KO loss.

i like the fact they have both been civil and maybe Hopkins is letting us in on something by saying both have the potential to hit the canvas.
Hopkins will need to pull it out of the bag to take anything away from this, but Pavlik must not get complacent
