Yeah, REAL old school. Hopkins is clearly the more skilled fighter, but Kelly's to active. He'll win by hitting arms and elbows. BHop was GASSED from slappy Joe after 8 rounds. Pavlik is just too active. Pavlik in a close but real ugly win.

Pavlik is going to crush Bhop. Pavlik's punches are very accurate and powerful. Bernard wont be able to keep up with him, even with all the dancing. He doesn't have big time power either. He either quits on his stool or gets KTFO by the 9th.

Not only was he gassed after 8 rounds against Slappy Joe, but he started getting hit cleanly, and was so worn down that he had to feign a low blow to catch a breather. Kelly has almost the same punch output as Joe, only his punches are much more accurate, and he has improved his angles and combinations in the last few fights. He is NOT just a 1-2 puncher any more.

          Very true,

Given B-Hops current condition I think it may be possible

Pavlik is the wrong fighter to prove you still got it.

I think Hopkins will have his moments but he cant fight 12 and he will have to to beat Pavlik. Pavlik has a chin, power and his skills are underrated. Hopkins will probably have some tricks early on.. but unless he threw the fight against Calzaghe he's in trouble against Pavlik. For the first time he looked old against Calzaghe. Pavlik is the wrong fighter to prove you still got it.

Plus he got hit more than as is typical. He wants it, but his body doesn't. His body would've preferred if he kept his mothers promise and retired at 40.

I think Pavlik will win convincingly.

It depends if Pavliks workrate is as big as Calzaghe's which I don't think it is. Because... Well... Pavlik is slower, you don't have to move the same way you has to against Calzaghe. Calzaghe made Hopkins fight he's fight at some points, I don't think Pavlik is experienced enough to make Hopkins fight his way. That means that Hopkins can be much more "relaxed" during the fight. And Pavlik says that he won't change his style is a bit arrogant, and I think it's pretty ******. But it could just be lies to distract Hopkins in making a plan B. But we'll all see about that. I believe that Pavlik will overcome this, even though he is pretty suited for Hopkins. No matter who you are the age 43, is OLD, especially in boxing.

Hopkin's may already have this won!

Everyone is predicting a Pavlik win. Pavlik is stating he'll knock him out. I believe he has completely underestimated him!

Hopkins behaving himself? He's already in Kelly's head! It's all part of the mind games and his reputation of winning the fight before he enters the ring. Give it to the prefight conference and Hopkins behaviour will change at the last minute to unsettle Pavlik. As for Hopkins tiring towards the end of the fight - maybe, but Pavlik is no where near as busy or agile as Calzaghe. I predict a Hopkins win!

If however Pavlik does win and so does Calzaghe against Jones, Calzaghe must fight Pavlik, or he'll be accused of running for the rest of his life.

He doesn't have to fight anyone.

He's said 4-5 fights ago that he intended on retiring after this fight, so he will.

Every time this thread pops up on my user CP, I read another post by someone saying that Hopkins won't be KO'd, won't be dominated, and that he'll probably beat Pavlik. Ok, great, I understand different opinions on the outcome of any given fight.

But what I'm trying to figure out is this: Why, if Hopkins isn't too old, done, shot, whatever, to beat Pavlik. why do people, in nearly the same breath, state that Calzaghe beat an over-the-hill Hopkins, who was done, shot, whatever, and that the win is meaningless? And then continue to say that Zaggs didn't really win that fight (and that, boys'n'girls, is a load of **** if ever I read it).

Seems a little hypocritical to me.
