There is a reason why Hopkins is taking this fight. Even though Pavlik is the popular name at this time and in his prime, he's a good matchup style wize for Hopkins. Look for B-Hop to outbox Pavlik and win a decision.

Im placing 2 bets this year. 1 for Roy over Calzaghe and the other Hopkins over Pavlik.

u have to be a slick fighter in order to beat B-Hop...iono Pavlik just seem too stationery for Hopkins...advantages pavlik has is his chin and his work rate with the desire to make his opponent fight a good fight.. in which I also believe Hopkins will go to war at times with the young man.

Geez, buddy, why would you want to lose two bets in a row?

Joking aside, both fights have the potential for an upset, but I don't expect either to happen. Roy should lose a....well, not a stinker of a decision, but it'll be by at least a couple of points. He could possibly win by KO early, if he jumps on Zaggs, turns his hands the **** loose, and connects with the right combination of shots to put Joe Calzaghe down for 10 for the first time ever. It would be a fantastic upset win, but I truly don't think there's enough of a risk-taker left in Roy to even make the attempt, and even if he did try it, I think there's less than a 10% chance he can get it done.

Bernard will, most likely, be TKO'd late. If he can find a way to keep Pavlik from working (I don't think he'll be able to tie up Pavlik like he's done most of his opponents...he's too big and too strong) then he can probably end the fight on his feet, at least, but that's the best scenario for him. That would mean another decision loss for Hopkins, but the only other way I can see it going is for Pavlik to keep Bernard off him enough so that he can work, and eventually Hopkins gasses, can't get a breather, and gets TKO'd.

That's how I see both fights playing out.

Not a chance. There is no way HBO would attempt to sell a 10 rounder as a PPV.

Pavlik is the one who said it was. On Youtube.

Its possible with no title on the line but I really doubt it as Dean said it would a not be a 10 on PPV .
