  • I think Bernard is gonna school Pavlik

Kelly is a huge puncher, but he's still wet behind the ears compared to B Hop. I can't get Hopkins vs Tarver out of my head when thinking of this upcoming fight. Tarver was the bigger guy with one punch power, although inconsistent with it, he could crack. He also fought from the southpaw stance. And Bernard handled him easily. Bernard should have less of a problem with the orthodox Pavlik.

I think Bernard will make it a boring fight, frustrate Kelly and simply school the kid over twelve tough mauling rounds. Kelly won't know what happened to him, but he'll come out exhausted, beat up, and no longer undefeated.

Cheers! Let's hope you're right, because that's what I'm counting on with my bets (not just point bets). And if Bernard doesn't win this, then somebody dies in AC October 18th..

As long as Hopkins can maintain his stamina for the full 12 rounds he'll have no problem handing Pavlik his first "0". But I'm questioning whether or not that is possible at 43 years of age against an undefeat 26 year old volume puncher like Kelly.

Still backing Bernard in this one. Perfect way to get right back on track.

My observation with Kelly is that he really does have very underrated defense. He catches punches very well, his only problem is how easy to time he can be. If only he didn't leave his punches out so long he would be the perfect fighter, but that's a big flaw and it's Bernard's favorite flaw. The older Bernard gets, the more he waits for someone to leave their right hand out too long, and he will capitalize all day against Pavlik. My only real worries are his body punching, his jab, and his work rate over 12 rounds. I think B-Hop wins this, but I've been more sure about previous B-Hop bets.

          hmmm tough fight to pick

im going with pavlik SD right now...i think bernard will make it an ugly, sloppy fight but pavliks activity will get him the nod and bernard wont do enough to win the fight

but i can see bernard beating him....just needs to throw more and cement the win

Don't go betting big against Pavlik Vs Hopkins, that's a recipe for a bus ride home with a box of crackers for your meals enroute. I think Bernard is at about the end of his run, and will have an even harder time shutting him down than he did Calzaghe. I'd actually be surprised if Hopkins wasn't stopped late, or at the very least a comfortable decision. Though I hope not...I get tired of listening to Hopkins' bull**** diatribe..."I won that fight, everybody know I won that fight". I wonder if he'll do the same after a stoppage.

yea if hopkins can maintain him stamina he'll win by a land slide pavlik is good but robotic and predictable...and i think hopkins will take him to school philly style...but pavlik will come back better than ever and rule the middle weight division

A lot of people do feel he won that fight. Fans and fellow boxers alike. You know you could always bet me on that fight if you're so confident. I'll even give you odds on the stoppage.

I'm not betting on that fight, I have something on the Jones / Calzaghe fight, and I need to keep everything I have just on the off-chance I have to pay out. Thanks for the offer, though
